Belgian meetup

We can use this thread to discuss a date and a location.
Somebody proposed 2nd of December already. If you want to join us then don't hesitate to post here and also post your preference for the
date.

I only included cities from Flanders because I haven't seen any Wallons members yet. If it turns out that there are more than I assumed, then I could start a new thread.

December 2 is impossible for me, 9 would be better.
I voted for Leuven because I live there, but I can easily go somewhere else and even take some other people from Leuven with me.

I guess Leuven seems te be the place to be Not too close to where I live, but I think it will be worth the drive!

Yes I would esp like ideas from people who are from Leuven. I've only been there a couple of times..

I prefer, but do not demand , a place that is not too noisy or crowded, where we can have a drink and chat comfortably.
If the weather is nice I wouldn't mind a walk in the city :-)

I don't know, but my guess is that on a Saturday, Leuven shouldn't be too crowded, since the majority of the students went home.

Are there any non-Belgians coming?

On the contrary, in the weekend we locals come out to shop and party
So still crowded.

Around the square in front of the station are a few pubs that are not noisy and where you can talk, and it's easier for people who want to come by train.
What do the other locals think?

I think it's a very good idea. It's easy to find, to get to, and for people by car there are parking spaces below the square.

Let's say at 20.00 near the monument?

I'm not sure what to do yet, but I have a card game called Boonanza should be much fun. I haven't played it yet, but it has a good reputation of getting strangers to talk with each other. So... that's an option :-)

Played it last month. Brillant game. Really easy once you get the hang of it. And since there will be veg(etari)ans there (at least one in any case): what better subject to talk about than beans?

Monument at the station at 8pm. on Saturday. I'll be there.

Is someone going to wear a T-shirt with "I love Steve"? Could be practical, but I'm not volunteering.

I'm still going to try to be there, never been to Leuven by car, but things will work out I guess.

I'd like to be able to call someone too if I'm not there on time. Not sure if someone can still pm me a mobile nr. It would have to be within the next half hour
