I will be moving to Durham in September. If you have any room for another member... medical writer wanting to do freelance work... I would like to join your group. I am an avid reader of Steve Pavlina's (Erin's also). anna |

Oh wow! So, We'd love to meet with either of you anna or juppykid. As far as 'room for another member' goes, how do I say this... our 'group' is me going to my friend's house and talking about whatever PD stuff comes to mind. Whether its work in lucid dreaming, diet and exercise stuff, ideas about world climate and over population, various sleep schedules, (talking about) working with sexual energy and emotions, we chat about everything without taboo. And sometimes try out stuff together (in addition to personal PD experiments), most recently we are looking into Parkour (free running) with much excitement and interest. There is a guy in Chapel Hill that was willing to teach us. Its really great exercise and great fun. So, like I said, we'd love to hang out with you, possibly meeting at the weaver street market in Carborro (just off of Chapel Hill), but if you're looking for anything more than interesting friends you will be disappointed. Oh and btw, if you want to look him up on here its: openeyes. Hope to hear from you soon, ~Michael |

I go to NC State and I'll be moving into an apartment in Raleigh in the next few weeks. I'm not really sure what I would get out of a personal development group, but you got me with parkour! |

| If you'd just be interested in Parkour we could let you know when we'll be practicing. As for a PD group, it's nice having people you can meet up with in person and go into greater depth about something than one might be able to on an anonymous board where all you can communicate with is text. There are a number of points I never bother to make on here but that I discuss with good friends in person, where I can better gauge their reactions and clarify things. It makes it easier to discuss complex subjects with less confusion and discussion can be more spontaneous and lively.

Also, my friend the Parkour lover, Duncan also sent me some good links for people just getting into it all, including 'inspirational (and entertaining) media', beginner's recommentations post, and some info about what the founder thinks it's all about: www.3run.co.uk :: View topic - Inspirational Media www.3run.co.uk :: View topic - The Ultimate Beginner's Guide www.3run.co.uk :: View topic - Original Thread: Conversations with David Belle Enjoy! | |
