This Saturday, May 14, there's a TEDx event in Las Vegas with Ram Dass and many other speakers. It's fairly small -- only 100 attendees I think. They still have tickets left.

Erin and I are going along with some friends from TLC.

Very nice. I see that people can register to watch it online live for free, though being there in person would be preferable. People can find other TEDx events, many with webcasts, here: TED | TEDx: Independently organized TED events

I'd certainly go. Unfortunately I need to put my money towards more pressing concerns at the moment. I love the book The Only Dance There Is by Ram Dass

TEDx events are pretty variable - went to one a month ago that wasn't that exciting.

But this one seems to have a good set of speakers.
