Well, I know this is kind of last minute, but I will be in Vegas next weekend (13-16 May) and I would love to meet some locals!  Steve, I would love to meet you too, of course!  I am going to visit my best friend in Atlanta and we are going to Harry Potter World in Orlando for my birthday  (Is anyone in Orlando...? )Anyway, my friend realised she had a meeting in Vegas that weekend and offered to take me with her, so of course I said yes. I think we are busy Friday and Saturday evenings, but the days are free and so is Sunday. We are both vegetarian and love raw food, so maybe a vegan/raw food place would be good? The only super touristy thing I really want to do is go to the Eiffel Tower on the Paris themed hotel. I'm so excited! I was in Vegas once before, but it was a long time ago. I've been meaning to post here, but I kept forgetting. We are staying at The Mirage hotel! Right in the middle of everything! Can you tell I'm excited? I'll be in town that weekend, although Rachelle will be back in Winnipeg. Drop me a PM about it, and we can arrange to meet up. You'll may enjoy exploring the Venetian too, which is across the street from the Mirage... or Caesar's Palace, which is next to the Mirage.
