Howdy... reporting from Ocala, FL.

I just moved to Ocala from Tampa and I'm trying to get my act together. If I could meet other people within the region that are interested in personal development, that would be very cool indeed.

Good luck with that. Gainesville's a bit easier because of UF. Ocala's more industrialized and they don't have development restrictions within city limits. I guess that's why they have lotsa jobs there, though.

I'm about 45 minutes away.

^^ Yeah... Gainesville sure does look appetizing from here.

Lots of stuff going on all the time. I want to wind up there, hopefully going to UF as well, but in the mean time, I'm staying here in Ocala where I have a job and a free place to live. Planning on doing some community college down here and then transferring.

Gah... I've moved so many times and I know how this drill works but it can be demotivating to have to go through the whole process of meeting new people over and over again. >:| .... Going to stay positive though.

You'll get there, don't worry. And GNV isn't too far away, my art therapist lives in ocala and she comes to me! Luckily also there are a lot of cool concerts sponsored by UF, and the center for performing arts.

In GNV next weekend there's the fall art's festival. I would go but I'm planning a weekend with some friends at the hostel in the forest.

I used to have some friends round that way so I'll try to find out if there are any cool PD events happening in the area and let you know...

Much appreciated. It's an understatement to say I am hungry for such consciousness enhancing events and connections. Any recommendations will be taken to heart.

I enjoy the electronic music scene and from what I've seen, Gainesville has a lot going on. I'm looking to expand my way of social networking beyond the music scene though since a lot of the people I tend to meet there happen to have a strong penchant for partying and altering their state of consciousness.... which I've moved beyond the need to indulge in.

Actually, that's part of why I moved back in with my family in Ocala. Tampa was just too much trouble for me. I created a life there which was too full of negativity and counter productive to my personal evolution.

So I'm seeking to reach out and network and to grow in new directions.... but right now, being at step one, the next steps have not yet presented themselves to me.

Yeah, the "Simons reunion TBA" - sometime between december and march because it takes them that long to get it together. Well if you're interested I do know quite a few conscious people going to that event, whenever it gets itself together. lmao

My exH was from roundabouts there. I used to call Tampa "tampon" for obvious reasons.

lmao, maybe. I'm thinking the next time I'll make it up that way is early December for mah road trip. I have the week after Thanksgiving off, I believe. I need to confirm it with my boss, but how does that sound for Hostel in the Forest?
