Anyone that's into PD and reading Steve's blogs regularly?
I am aware that the North is represented by several members, not sure on the South

And I'm waaayyyyy down there @ latitude 45 or therabouts.

Me too, in Christchurch. I have been reading Steve's blogs on and off for a few years now, only joined the forum last year, and have only just found this thread today.

SP forum members in Christchurch - our thoughts are with you and your loved ones today - please check in to let us know you are safe, and share your experiences/needs after today's terrible earthquake. There are many people willing and able to offer help where they can.

For non-NZ readers, today Christchurch, a city in New Zealand's South Island, was struck by a serious earthquake, only five months after another huge shock. This one is much more damaging, due to the time of day, and the already-weakened state of most buildings. We have no idea how many deaths and serious injuries there are (last time, we mercifully escaped with no deaths, but some have already been confirmed this time) and most people have been unable yet to contact all family and friends.
