I was just diagnosed after 3 years

Hello my name is Kataleensa and I'm new to this site. Well any site involving my disease. I became ill 3 years ago and was misdiagnosed. I lived with the word from my Doctor and from many Gastroal specialist that I had IBS. To make a long story short I was just told after 3 years and 8 months with the worst pain in my life "I have fibromyalgia." I'm on Savella now but I'm suffering all the side effects. Headaches, diarrhea, low blood pressure dizziness and fatigue. I have little energy and I'm fighting depression. I can't take anti-depression meds because within weeks I feel like I just have no need to be here. My MD is working on referrals to see a Rheumatologist and hopefully a pain management. My Doctor tells me I have other things going on. But wouldn't you think after 3yrs of growing symptoms he would have tested me for other things before now. He just took my white blood cell count still waiting to hear. Right now I'm on 750mg Lortab, clonazepam 2mg, Baclofen, Blood pressure Lazis 80mg I retain water and suffer from hypertension I also take Ambien 2 a night but they don't work. I've slowed down on all meds. Except at night, I take a hand full of clonazepan and muscle relaxers just to get to sleep before 3am or 5 in the morning .However durning the day I hold on to my willpower and take nothing if I can help it laying in bed in great pain. You see I have 2 girls 11 and 9 both honor roll students I dont take anything because I drive them to school and pick them up. If any one has any thing to say that may help please do so.

Sorry to hear of your suffering. I suffered from a "similar" ailment for about 25 years. I saw a Rheumatologist for most of that time, took every anti-inflammatory you can imagine and near the end was seeing a pain clinic and I was taking many different types of narcotics for the pain. I had a terrible time sleeping as well.

The good news is, I am completely cured now. I have taken no medication for 3+ years and no longer see a doctor except for my annual physical. The turn around has been simply amazing. A huge turning point in my life.

There is so much to talk about and I could not do it justice posting about it here. I would get exhausted writing.
