I'm in! I definitely feel like the whole planet is my playground. I was born in France, lived there then in Germany for eight years, came back to France and now I'm preparing my next emigration, which will be either Netherlands or Norway. I also want to spend a few years somewhere in South America, a few years in an English speaking country, and a few years in Russia. And probably in a few more countries. |

South America! I soooo want to go there, i want to see Macchu Pichu before i die. I've been vicariously traveling through South America, my husband spent six months exploring it bottom to top (before we met) and has hundreds and hundreds of slides that i have been watching them a few times.

As for the Netherlands, I agree! I've been there several times already and I just love it there. The first time I went, I came out of the station in Den Haag, saw the city, smelled the wonderful air, and thought "I wanna live here!!!". I don't know yet if I will go to the Netherlands or to Norway....

One time, riding my motorcycle alone through rural Honduras, in the middle of the night (as one does), I saw a storm on the horizon. So I .. rode right into it. Turned out it was one of these badass tropical storms. I had no idea what "tropical storm" meant until I was right smack in the middle of one, on a deserted highway in the middle of some jungle mountains. Did I mention I was on a motorcycle? I was in full leathers, but soaked right through. The lightning flashed literally every 2-3 seconds. Then I found a little town, with one gas station, and all the electricity out in the entire town. They only had electricity on some days. Anyways, thankfully there was a pleasant hotel owned by some locals, and they had covered parking for my bike, so it would be dry in the morning. I walked in and they gave me a candle to light my way to my room. There was a shared bathing area with a big vat of water, and a small bucket for scooping it onto yourself. I washed up and found my way back to my room. To my surprise, that one lone candle had warmed up the room while I bathed. I woke up in the middle of the night, and it was SO pitch black that for a minute I couldn't remember where I was. I literally couldn't see a thing. I slept deliciously well that night. |
