As someone who likes to do a lot of travelling I was just wondering whether there was a section on this site where couchsurfers could get together? If not, would it make sense?

It would allow for travel and growth orientated people to meet up, which should enhance the experience for both parties.

JUst a thought...

CouchSurfing - Participate in Creating a Better World, One Couch At A Time is an awesome group of people that cover the whole spectrum and you will find myself and my mates in ROC, NY. Any other long term nomads about, Id love to hear stories of travel.

It would be nice if people could have an icon by their avatar that says whether they're couch surf friendly or not, maybe something that forwards to their couch surfing account similar to our skype/instant messenger buttons.

You could put your direct profile link (bottom of the general information section) in your forum signature

on edit: better yet, make your own icon and link (hope this works)

It does, that's my CS page.

The code tags don't work so this will look sloppy. You can put the code below in your sig. Two things: (1) remove the space from in front of the URL and IMG tag, and (2) Change the first link to your profile ID.

There is something my father called table top traviling. You open a map on a table (or couch ) and just look at the map . desert rat

I have been hosting couchsurfers for the past couple of months. I'll be staying with a host in Denmark this summer for one night. I enjoy meeting people all over the world, but I mainly only get people from the U.S.
