| ^ You're right. I just posted that to get the ball rolling. I'm thinking of moving the time to two weeks away instead of next week. Any thoughts? I'll make a thread about it soon.

Either way works. Weekday evenings my schedule is flexible and varies. On weekends, I usually visit my parents on Sunday so Saturdays would work better for me. If it looks like people can only meet on Sunday for this meeting and I know a bit in advance, I can switch it around though. My recommendation to you (based on trying to setup a similar event except for photography) is to pick a date and whoever can come out to that event comes out, those who can't will try to next time. Or else it's really chaos imo.

Hi all, I'd like to set a date and time for Sunday (Dec. 1), and then whoever can come is welcome. Coffee or brunch? Coffee is cheaper, but brunch we could make reservations for and be sure to have somewhere to sit. The location will be on the main downtown loop subway (within or close to the section bounded by Bloor, Spadina, Front and Yonge streets). I'm open to any suggestions for venue, but I will choose a place if no one has any ideas. If only 2-4 people can come, then reserving is not important, but any more than that and we'll need to either reserve (assuming brunch) or have 2 or 3 alternate cafes in the same area (assuming just coffee). Please suggest time, length and venue preferred, and we'll go with the majority. thx RuthInToronto

There is a godo possibility that I can join you guys. What time where you thinking of doing this at? I'm at my parents' place during Saturday and earlier part of Sunday which is about 1h away from Toronto. If you're willing to do lunch a little later, say 1-1:30pm, I'd be glad to join you guys. If not, we'll try and plan for something next time.

Hi Janet and Dimitry, I was thinking more like 11:00 a.m., but I can do 2:00 also if that is OK for you Janet? Please let me know by end of day today. And since neither of you suggested a venue, how about the Brownstone? It's about 4 blocks south of Bloor on Yonge. I think the cross street is Gloucester but I will confirm that. It's on the NE corner of the intersection. Or if either of you has a favourite joint, please advise. I will call to see if we can reserve as it is very popular and gets busy. So Janet, please let me know if you would rather do 11:00 or 2:00. Since you responded first, we'll do 11:00 if that's what you prefer, and in that case, Dimitry, you'll perhaps join us next time. Could you both please advise asap? thx ruthintoronto

Can someone describe exactly where Brownstone is? I know Yonge+Bloor station. Someone tell me how to get to Brownstone from there please. |

Google Maps So probably easier to get off Wellsley station and head north on Yonge if it's cold weather.

Hi all - Janice, Dimitry and Pi11, If I can't reserve, I'll try to get there a little early to save a table for 4. I have very short brown hair, am about 5'8" and wear rectangular glasses with a white stripe along the top of the frame. Hard to miss. See you all there! Ruth

Janice, Ruth and Dimitry, Looking forward to meeting you folks at Brownstones at 1400 hrs. I have short black hair, rectangular glasses, 6'-1 and going for an unshaven look today. I am severely jet lagged and the unshaven look suites it. Notice that I naturally woke up at 4 in the morning today. Grr. Cheers, - Pi

Janice, Dimitry and Ruth, It was a great enjoyable lunch with you folks. It is certainly great to put faces to those usernames. I think we set the foundation for future meetings, perhaps with a larger group as time goes on. Cheers, - Pi

First post here, I am in North York (outside Toronto). I would suggest this area. This is easy to come by highway (25 mins from Pickering and Brampton) and you have Subway access for people downtown. I look forward to the next meet up. Mukul

Hi everyone, I am quite new in this forum, and also from Toronto. I have been reading all kinds of PD materials for quite some time, and was always looking forward to meet people who are also into PD. I was teaching Statistics at UofT for some time, and currently work at a bank. Would love to join the next meeting. Take care, Alex Last edited by AlexJ : 12-17-2006 at 09:59 PM.

On a serious note, another meeting would probably be a great idea. Although we should wait until after New Years. It would be really hard to assemble people due to various seasonal family obligations.

Pi11, Looking forward to meet you at the next meeting. I have been into PD for quite some time, but could not find anybody in this area that was sharing the enthusiasm until I found this site. My main interest is alternative medicine - I spent a lot of time researching this field. Anyway, looking forward to the next grouping. Cheers, Alex Last edited by AlexJ : 12-18-2006 at 01:31 PM.

2007 is here and for some reason I keep thinking of James Bond "007" and the year of new challenges, adventure and positive change. I am in Toronto (midtown) and would like to join you on your next meeting. Happy New Year

I am fairly new to PD but enjoying everything I'm learning and implementing in my day to day life - It's a new world. I have started with the 30 day to success with morning workouts (30 minutes), eating breakfast (which I only did on weekends previously) and focus on leisure reading (30 minutes). I would be interested in meeting up to discuss success stories and learning curves from others. Lynn

I am a newbie too, and in Toronto. I would lvoe to meet. May I suggest a venue? There is a What a Bagel at Yonge/Eglinton seconds from the subway. My writing group used to go there because it has both real food for those that want it, and inexpensive cookies and snacks for those that prefer that. Sunday mornings don't work for me (I teach Sunday school) but other than that, evenings work.
