Hi, everyone,

as stated in the etiquette guidelines, please post your messages in English only. Unfortunately, at this point we are unable to moderate posts in other languages. We welcome people from all countries, but for now we need everyone to post in English only.

Please edit your own current non-english posts into English. Thanks you for your understanding.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Patricia.

Hi, Julien,

we all feel this way. I'm Brazilian and I too wish we could have a thread where I could talk to other Brazilians in Portuguese. I'm sure people from all countries feel the same way. And the Local Groups forum would be the best and most appropriate place to do that. However, right now we have a limitation in terms of moderation. But this subject has been brought up already and it's possible that we have bi-lingual moderators to allow this in the future. Because the forum is still very new, there are other priorities in place right now, but at some point this might become a reality.

Hi,

I think, and maybe I'm wrong, that's personal development is above all asking questions about ourselves. And we know frenchies already understood everything
Some of you could say I'm tough, but I think we're too proud to ask ourselves : "Am I wrong ?"

And there's not much french spoken sites on PD. How about sharing some links to french sites here ? I'll give mine if someone here is interested.

See you.

Hi Julien,

After a quick search on the net, I didn't find any site about PD in French. Just some articles of little interest. What abot you guys, found anything?

It seems anyway that we are coming to personnal development little by little.

The questions raised by personnal development sites like Steve's are interesting for the French too. I mean, we just don't label it "personnal development", so we don't know what PD refers to exactly, but we are looking for answers about achieving goals, time management, reality and life and everything linked with personnal dvpt.
What makes me say that is because everytime I speak with people about ideas I found on Steve's site, they are fascinated just like I am (ok maybe less but still quite fascinated). I often get comments like "yeah I like the way you see things", or stuff like that. Anyway i feel people crave for new ideas and I wouldn't be surprised to see some sites of this kind developping in the years ahead.
By the way, what about your site Julien? I just tryied to go on it and it was disabled. Is it a temporary disablement?

Personal Development is not quite a hot topic in France yet, but like Alban said, I'm sure it will be developed during the next few years because it applies to everyone!

Btw, I have French nationality and was born in Paris

Default Salut les francais

Just thought I'd say hi, I'm a dual citizen of France and U.S. and live in the U.S. right now.

As for the lack personal development things in France - probably the culture isn't encouraging it - I find the culture there becoming more defeatists, scarcity-oriented, and anti-capitalist as the years go by.

Lightbulb Personal Development wanted !

Hi everybody.

Like most people here, I find reading self-development pages inspiring and often - motivating me to good actions.

Another benefit I gain is practicing a foreign language.

I would very love to practice french too.
Podcasts + articles

But searching the web gave me nothing - I lack vocabulary in french for Self (or Personal) -Development

So, I ask anyone who knows french to post here url's to blogs and podcasts,
or at least post french keywords relevant to the topic.

With respect and warm regards,
Bohdan Trotsenko.
