Hi, I suppose that the meet will be held in Helsinki, as no one else has announced being a resident in any other city. This means that you have to announce the date well in advance and not in the previous day. A pub that has a smoke-free room, doesn't have loud music and is easy to reach would be perfect. No one has announced being underage. Someone with local knowledge should pick the place. Pretty much the only requirement is that the person in question shows up in time and is willing to give his contact information to strangers, together with description of outlooks for easier identification. Oliblom suggested somewhere around new year, which sounds fine. However, if some of you is a veteran in personal development and has a lot of physical stuff to show, then his or her home would be a good place. I'm still quite new to this personal develpment thing, and my attitude is "let's see what this can offer" rather than "Personal Development is THE Way (tm) to achieve personal happiness, save the world and discover the meaning of life." My only action in this front thus far has been to buy the Getting Things Done book by David Allen and to start maintaining a to-do list based on those principles. You seem to be more business-minded than most people I know, so I'm looking forward to clash of worldviews. |

Hello, I think there are plenty of finns still alive, dunno how many end up posting in the forums thought... I dont know about the last meeting, but since it was 2k6 I belive there are now far more people attracted to Steve's blog than back then It would be great to connect with some new people, to meet or just chat. I live in Tuusula so Helsinki is quite accessible. Anwyay, let's keep the thread alive and see if there are some more finns lurking around! |
