That is a fabulous story, Annie. Do you have a link where people can go to sign up? I'll PM you with my email, but it might be easier on you to put a link in your post because I bet a lot of us would love to sign up About intentions and manifestations, here's the funny thing with me. I've been manifesting things into my life regularly this past year, but I haven't really used the intention approach yet. I've just been doing it on the feel good basis, and it's great to see this thread because I've actually been thinking it's time to ramp things up to the next level and start using intentions. I've done pretty well just doing the going with the flow downstream thing - I absolutely love my life and hit "happiness" on the emotional scale usually - but lately I've been coming up with some really seriously big dreams and desires, and I think intentions would be perfect for these. |

Hmmz, new story, new story! A small one though, not as good as Annie's Over the past few months I about once a week put up the intention to get a new long black leather coat, since the old one died on me. I didn't really feel good about spending money on it though, because I needed to spend money on my Linux certification training and possibly on the Photoreading package, which ofcourse would benefit the Linux training again..) So a few days ago I got the message that my employer will not pay for the whole training and I would have to pay about 450 euro's myself. All this got me a bit in a struggle on what to do. Well, yesterdaymorning my sister asked me to go with her to the "black" market, which is rather far from my home. So I thought about it and well, obviously I have to be careful with my spendings, but how much of a coincidence is this? Maybe it's just a signal of "the universe" helping me out. So I went to the market and got me a real nice coat. About the Linux coarse, I did some calculations, and with the money needed for the coarse I could take almost 4 exams. 4! So I'll just go for self-study and if I don't succeed with 4 exams, then I shouldn't be going that direction obviously. Oh also I did a small test on the way home. I stated I'd like to see a red haired girl smiling at me before I got home, which was within 10 minutes. On my way I noticed an advertisement that had a smiling redhead on it looking at me..) I love how those things happen, it's either that the universe has a sense of humour, or I'm just fooling myself. Either way, it makes me happy. |

Another short one, but it was quite fun. A few months ago I went to an outdoor classical concert with some friends. During the concert I thought how great it would be to hear a certain artist perform live. A few days later I check my news feeds and find out that not only will he be performing live, but in my adopted home of Nottingham. Smashing, especially considering he writes music for video games and so doesn't play a lot of concerts. In fact, I think this was his first one in the UK. Skip ahead a few weeks later, and I'm walking out of a coffee shop smiling like a loon. You see, not only did I get to see him in concert, but he had a Q & A session afterwards and I got to have a pretty decent chat with him. I thought that was pretty neat. |

| I haven't said much in my previous post, I was in a hurry :-). I read some months ago about intention/manifestation here in Steve's web. The funny thing is that I've been doing it for years. When I was younger I figured theories about many things (I still do). I didn't have access to the Internet then (1999) and I don't know if there were some books about that even. I don't know when the first related book was published. Well, anyway I'm a veteran in this. I'll only give one advice. You maybe heard it before. Be careful of what you wish because it may come true. The hardest thing is to know what to wish. Sometimes you wish something and it happens and it's not neccesarily good for you. That's the danger of all this. In some thread called "Manifesting the impossible" I read a girl trying to manifest to be able to fly. Would that be really a good thing to her? I would not wish it for me. You've got to be careful with the exact words as in the example of the redheads and the green skirts. :-) If you wish "I want to be able to fly". You'll probably don't manifest a thing. You're already able to fly, just take a plane. Ok, then you could wish "I want to be able to fly without the help of any machine". Then perhaps one day your arms may start to transform into wings... do you really wish that? :-) Etc. Etc. Etc. I think that the most important thing is to know what to wish exactly. |

My last semester at Fashion School, was the one where I had to make a garment collection. The semester started in Jan 2006 and the my graduation fashion show was scheduled for May 2006. It was mid-march and I hadn't even had a single sketch finalized. To top that off, I had just broken up with my then girlfriend and things were going crazy. By this time I had already been a regular reader of Stevepavlina.com and it was just about the time I thought I'd give IM a shot. I said to myself that I will finish my design collection in time and graduate, then five minutes later, I pushed it up several notches by intending that I'll win the Best Design Collection and top my batch. This was mid-march and I was already over 2 months behind my batchmates. I held the intention and went to work on a very stict note. I wrote down all the tasks that need to be done and alloted whatever time I had to them in divisions. But most importantly I held onto my intention so much that every night before I slept, I visualized myself winning that award and tried to feel how I'd feel if I really did. May 2006, I won the Best Design Collection award and topped my batch. |

I've only been consciously holding intentions now since August, 22nd, and have been modifying how I do it since I started according to what I learn. Here's how I'm currently doing it: INTENTION
Right now, I have a list of 22 intentions, covering health, provision - which are "things" from basic food, water and shelter on up, and relationship. I'd rather hold fewer intentions than I have now, as I believe I could spend a little more time and energy focusing and holding each one. But I guess it is what it is. I usually feel pretty refreshed, energetic, and in a pretty darn good mood when I get done. I would imagine that the longer I do this, the shorter my list will get and the shorter the amount of time I'll have to hold each intention. |
