Can someone clarify this for me?

Hi,

After successfully using the Law of Attraction to draw into my life first health and then wealth, and in the case of wealth external reality conformed to my intention, so i have now confirmed the LoA for myself. By the way, i started laughing when the final synchronicity presented itself, which completely convinced me of the LoA's existence. The universe's sense of humor is amazing. Did this happen to anyone else? When i saw that outer reality had obvious conformed to my intention i just started laughing. Anyway, to my point:

I tried intending a specific person to come into my life that i have not seen in a while or have heard about for quite some time. Namely, I'm sort of worried about him. However, it failed quite miserably. I did set a short time frame, could that be it? But in the case of wealth, i also set an even shorter time frame and it worked very flawlessly.

I've had this happen often, I'm manifesting like crazy and then something I choose to be, won't happen. This is what I think is happening.

Basically the whole point of a physical reality is to work your way back to perfection, on the way you can gain most of your power back, but there will always be a small percentage of power you won't envoke to maintain the illusion of imperfection.

Somethings don't work out as you intend or choose for a reason, that reason is to maintain the illusion of imperfection.

It could be many things, but without specifics about how you were intending for this person to come to your life, it is hard to suggest anything. Details please…

Erin has a blog post on that topic. I've heard that attracting people into your life is pretty hard because the other person has intentions too. But I have the feeling that under certain circumstances it is very possible, just make sure that your thoughts, words, and actions aren't contridicting your intention. And don't set a time frame for LoA! That's why Steve puts "in its own perfect time"

I believed LoA right when I heard it because the way Steve explained it made so much logical sense, but I was very freaked out at how well it does work. I've been using it almost every day last week on vacation in Wildwood New Jersey with my family and grandparents to get them to order what I wanted for dinner that night, pizza, hamburgers, chicken. It worked every time. I also decided that I wanted to find a penny on the boardwalk that week (see Erin's post about finding pennies, wealth is one of my big intentions) I'll tell you what happened. I didn't find a penny, I found a dime and two quarters. I also set the intention to get really fit, I'm average physically which isn't good. When I set that intention I completely lost the desire to eat junk food and I wanted to exercise. When reading the book The Secret it says open the book at random and the answer to your question will be there. I thought "Let's see if LoA can beat the laws of probability..." and I open the page and the answer is there.

I'm really excited about the power of LoA, but I won't be able to use it much until I'm 18 and are finally allowed to make my own decisions for myself. (I've been waiting to go to college for a long time so I don't have my parents not letting me do everything that needs to be done to reach my goals.)

Hmmm, I'd have to say the big problem with attracting people is not so much them having intentions, but you fearing the fact that they may actually be you

I do this with my college age son all the time. I'll just intend him to call and let me know he is well. I imagine his voice...

and he calls me.

I've done this with many people and they all show up. I was thinking the other day just for fun I should pick someone from my graduating class and intend to run into them (I don't live in the state I went to high school) - just to bug myself out, jeesh I think it'd be a hoot!!

anyhow - just wanted to comment on the laughter part of the initial post.

We can do it, but not all the time, like all manifestations we always hold back a little to maintain the reality. The interesting thing is to also notice when people turn up to help you in some way and then later you realise you needed that person at that exact time and they arrived without your ego intending it.

That's the power and you can see how our dopey ego usually just gets in the way and stuffs things up

It is easy to lose sight of what we can and simply do accomplish, our ego is such a colorful character, laughing, crying, running around like it's head's falling off most of the time getting in the way

Your effort to use LOA to make contact with a person will work infallibly. You anxiety about their welfare is the reason for the delay. Make the contact true, inner and supportive. Send love or affection or goodwill to the other person.
