I'm spending more and more and more time here at Steve's forum, but time is always against me.

I need a vote, a sign, some kind of indication that what I write here is valuable enough to stay. It's not really about my ego (although my ego loves nice comments ) I just want an indication that what I'm adding to this forum is important enough to you.

I have to give up some things to stay here, but I will do it if I can see you want my voice. I don't have all the answers, I'm no genius, I'm just like you, trying to find my way, but a choice has to be made.

I know this sounds like a big ego thing and while that's true, I have to choose.

Hey, Max. Not sure that we've ever had much interaction here on the forums and I don't always know whether I agree with what you say, but I enjoy reading your stuff nonetheless. Generally, I get something worthwhile from your posts.

Stick around. You keep things interesting. If you need to scale back a little, I am sure we'd all understand.

I think the same thing, for different reasons. All this energy going here, could be directed elsewhere. This can be an energy blackhole if you let it. No offense intended to anyone, it is entirely a personal matter. Take care of yourself Max. Thats the best thing you can do for everyone.

Max, by asking such a question indicates that you're seeking validation and that perhaps you are doubting yourself (does SR allow for this?)

If you are seeking converts to SR and not getting the responses you want then maybe you are not accomplishing your goals. If you are seeking to offer alternative ways of thinking you are succeeding. That's always valuable!

It sounds like you're not getting the return on your investment (time) from these forums. If that's the case, it's time to decide if it's worth it for you. If anything perhaps you should just cut back a bit if it's taking too much time away from the rest of your life.

Do what's best for you Max.

ATC, (EDIT:EVERYONE) thank you for the nice words, but unfortunately I can't scale back, I have to choose this forum everyday or not be here at all.

So as stupid as it sounds, I will be here eveyday, or I will not come back.

I added up the time I spend here everyday and it's the same amount of time I could spend on something else, both are important, I have to make a choice.

Hmmm, I am not sure I understand why it's an all or nothing. Only you know which choice is more important.

I will say that I've just finished reading a bunch of threads that you posted to and they did help me out. I don't know if you have a mission or a goal for your time here (kind of along the lines of what Z said) but if one is to help or inspire people, I can see that you certainly do.

Again, I hope you figure out what works best for you and do it. If you go you will be missed.

Seriously, you are one of my most valued inspirations, and even if you are a know-it-all, I am too, and I love to show it off in places like this.

I also am an all-or-nothing kind of guy, and I think you would do well to really think objectively about the alternative you've been so mysterious about.

I hope you are still here next time I check, because it would be a great loss to us all and we would miss you immensely, no matter how much you might raise a few of our hackles once in a while.

If it weren't for your sure and steady winning streak in every argument ever, we'd be flame city for all I know!

Anyway, that's my rant, and hopefully someone would say it to me, if I similarly tried to leave (which I won't with things as they are).

I have always enjoyed discussing SR with you. But whether you want to stay or leave is something you alone have to decide. I understand what you mean by spending more time here.

My suggestion would be to find a balance in both like coming here during your lunch time or something like that. Whatever you decide, good luck.

I want you to stay but on the other hand, you're the reason why I'm addicted to this forum. I don't even look at anyone elses threads and i don't even look at anyone elses posts in a thread either. I just look at everything that you write. So...i say stay because you contribute to the growth of a lot of people, but if you want to help me to not be addicted to the forum and have to jump out of bed to see what you wrote that i may have missed while i was asleep, then leave.

It won't matter too much if you go since I don't come into the forum all the time - I may not notice you gone if I'm not reading these forums in other words.

Flip side I dig your posts! You have clarity even though you are unfolding.

I don't think you should rest your decistion on what everyone thinks. Then you'd be like, oh man, everyone wants me to stick around to benifit them so I will. I don't think that would be good for you, you know? You may feel obligated. It's entirly possible to check in once and a while just for your own own benifit.

If you stay here simply because you have something to say... you are missing out on a wonderful opportunity to learn, expand and grow...

We have some brilliant thinkers here who continuously share pearls of wisdom with us... the pages of this site are filled with positivism and inspiration... not a day goes by that I don't discover and learn something new and sometimes invaluable...

No one here is indispensable to this site... but no one who is serious about learning and growing can do without this site...

I think you should stay. But I am thinking selfishly when I say that. If you have stuff that needs to be taken care of then go take care of it. The forum will still be here.
How about this. instead of all or nothing. Once every week or two put a side like an hour to just do the forum thing then you put it away and forget it.

I have to add to what I said in an earlier post. Max, it's obvious that you invest a lot of time and energy into this forum. While I'm dashing from one job to the next, driving from town to town, logging into this forum between jobs, you are obviously putting a great deal of thought and energy into your next post and your next idea. (Have you thought about applying for the job of "Assistant to Steve Pavlina?")

Anyhoo, your contributions have been huge and you would be greatly missed. I would not prevail upon you to stay if you had other obligations more pressing, but if you are looking for affirmation, here it isP

Thank you all for your kind words of support. Honestly I have never felt so needed and appreciated. The magic of a global community (consciousness) shows me that while we are so seemingly distant and different, we are all that matters.

I did the poll to make myself feel better about what I was contributing here, yes it was selfish, but all we really have is ourselves to look to in a time of doubt and the response was overwelming.

I shouldn't be here, I really don't have the time, but you have shown me that my crazy ideas, my ramblings and often the way I drone on, while annoying to some, is interesting enough to you.

As best I can, I will be here everyday for you, I will write the most crazy, stupid, dumb, annoying, inspiring (hopefully) posts that I can.

Some how, on some level we will find the truth, we will find love, money, fun and good times, yes there will be pain and tears, but the only way forward is together.

We will make you everything you choose to be........don't think it, know it.

You know that you need to see what you get out of posting more than how everyone benifits from your great ramblings as a side effect. In other words, find a way to see that you post for yourself and then you won't be wondering why you are writing for everyone else or feeling out of balance like you shouldn't be here.

And remember the concept that trying to help others benifit is really about benifiting yourself too.
