For years I've subscribed to the LoA and IM models through Robbins, Matthews, Chopra and Hill. They were helpful, but it was the foundation of why and how it works that puzzled me, there always felt like there was something missing. I seriously asked to be shown how it works and I found Steve's site and stumbled upon SR.

It took me a long time to understand it and I'm no expert and in fact I've bypassed the whole concept of thought and emotion as creative as Steve outlines. I've seen other people explain it, but Steve's version is the one I find easiest to grasp, although it's still not the clearest especially in the 'who is consciousness' dept. To grasp that you have to see what you really are, a challenge indeed.

Anyway these links helped me get a better handle on my life and my existance, they're not perfect, but they are free and free's good right

Remember a belief system is only good if it helps you live a better life, SR isn't for everyone (although that's a contradiction from a SR POV ) but it's a interesting way to see who you are and who everyone else is.

Buttercup,

Steve's site has great explanation. I didnt understand SR from his articles the first time though but I did know that what he was talking about was "Advaita Vedanta" or "Nonduality" as they call here in the west.

The best books ever to cover Advaita in detail are
"I am that", which is a collection of converstions with Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, and "Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi".

Also you can check our this site for an introduction to Nonduality

What is Nonduality - Explanations and Definitions

Hope that helps.

Just out of curiosity, why did you choose the name Buttercup

AB, Good links, but I still find the way it's explained in Steve's rendering of it to be easier to grasp for the average dummy like me although I must say that the podcast falls over in the LoA, IM dept, could seem a contradiction from the choice/thought instruction POV, but now I'm just being picky

Whatever floats your boat
