Question Calling Expert Intention Manifesters... Help?

So I have decided that this summer my #1 goal is to get to where I can have a lucid dream whenever I choose for both fun and PD, remember that dream, and even choose what dreams I wish to have or when I'd like to talk to some unconscious source of knowledge about a subject do that.

I know the most basic proposed for this type of thing is intention, and that has helped some, I've had about 5 lucid dreams in the past 2 months and I remember atleast one dream most every night. But, I'm still far from profeciancy. With my childhood of doing this type of thing naturally I am kinda spoiled/have little patience, esp. because the project takes away my meditation time until i can get it down to a set amount required in the morning and night... BUT LONG STORY SHORT:

I would like to know what are the 'supe ups' for intention manifesting. I've heard about lacing the thoughts and pictures of what you want with emotions and even putting some progress chart on the wall, which may be a possibility, charting the nights of lucid dreams and days of memory on the wall. Any other suggestions to power-pack my intention-fueled quest?

Whenever you think of it say, "I am dreaming".

Do you normally do WILDs to induce lucid dreaming or take vitamins or something?

Erin is an expert lucid dreamer and she did a podcast on techniques she's used to get good at it. It's #10 on Steve's audio page.

Thank you all for the ideas. As for the wild I actually wasn't sure if I had used it so I looked online to find this very helpful website: Lucid Dreaming: Induction Techniques - Wikibooks, collection of open-content textbooks

The answer is no, I never cared to take the time to really keep my eyes open for that version due to morning classes. As far as night meditation I personally cannot get to sleep that way it will only ensure my wakefulness for hours to come. But now that I have a slightly more relaxed schedule I may try keeping my eyes open.

As for the podcast, I've heard it and tried it.

I like the simple 'I am dreaming' idea as a kid in order to avoid nightmares I would do that as I went to sleep without knowing it was a technique to induce lucidity though i got the effects nonetheless. I may go back to repeating 'I am dreaming' in my head as the midnight mantra.

What I guess I was realy hoping for was some kind of goal-manifesting info, though possibly I should take your comments as good reason to just stick with the Lucid dreaming literature that is already available without trying to create my own. Thank you all again for the info.

It helps to keep the reasons behind why you want to manifest something on hand. It's the fuel that charges the emotions.

So why DO you want to dream lucidly, beyond entertainment? (I've not gained much PD from it)

You're living in a world that if you treat a little like a dream, you can achieve some amazing things!

Well said, that pretty much sums up the power of IM and actually your entire physical existance.

We are just having a dream, seems like something more, but it isn't.

That's something I haven't heard of before, using IM to manifest lucid dreaming well I suppose as you are IMing all day long, then it's just a matter of focus without doubt. All IM is just chosing to make something real/happen, it's very easy, when it doesn't work, it's because there is a over riding doubt issue somewhere.

Happy manifesting

Talking

The personal development part would be the ability to (as pointed out in erin's audio) ask to talk to one's subconscious as to the origins of a dream vs. doing one's own dream interpretation. So, to consult with the subconscious which many believe to be the truer self (before the spirit body ofcourse, I guess I could probably hold a debate on that one but go with me for now). Also, this may not make too much sense but I'm in premed now, so in 2-3 years I will have no time for entertainment during the day and I think it would be quite adaptive to have a method for my own sleeping virtual reality. Along with the ability to really explore my dreams and take the insights and similarities into waking life as some mentioned.

Focus without a doubt eh?, possibly the mantra, "I will remember my dreams and to recognize I am in a dreaming" would help.

So as far as driving forces: talking to inner self, adaptive entertainment to assist in another goal, and insights via the lucid exploration of my own dream world

Thank you all again for your tips and comments
