Letting go of figuring it out

I'm wondering how you do this. I mean, do you just stop altogether trying to figure out how to manifest things? Rationally I understand this, but it's just so hard to accept! Can I rationalize letting go of trying to figure it out? Just let go? It feels good to think about letting go, but would anything actually happen?? Thoughts, shares?

It helps to know what the first step you need to take is. Try this. Create a goal. Ask "Can I achieve this right now? If not, what would I need to do first?" and write down the action(s) you'll need to directly achieve that goal. Then ask again "Can I take this action now? If not, what other actions would I need to do first?"

Do this until you can answer "Yes, I can take this action right now." At this point, take action as soon as possible.

It's possible that you don't know all the steps you need to take to achieve everything. That's fine. List down as many actions you can think of and try to take the actions you can take now. As you progress, new ideas will come (this could be LoA at work ) and you can improvise your action plan from there.

YES! I DO!! It always seems the hardest part, to let go of the obsessive THINKING! I feel like I'm in the midst of a giant shift, and there are these residual bits of my brain that need this type of validation, even though I genuinely know the answer within...

I suspect that for many of us, it has to come as a realisation, rather than as something we think our way into. You can't really figure out how to stop trying to figure it out. It's like trying to think about how not to think about thinking.

I'm not sure that we're talking about the same thing, OP, but go with it for a second.....

In the beginning I found that I was limiting my belief in the metaphysical because I spent all of my time trying to understand how it all worked. One day I came to the realization that I have no idea how electricity works. I don't understand how the telephone can transmit our voices, in realtime, across thousands of miles, I haven't a clue how the fax or TV works. Even though I don't understand electricity I sure as heck believe in it! Even though I can't see gravity or air I know that they both exist.

Just let go of your need to understand how and focus on accepting.

But they fret about how come they do not understand the ultimate nature of reality.

@Acting: This is probably one of the reasons Soren Kierkegaard concluded that sometimes, we need to take "a leap of faith", and just do it.

I do not think there is a person on this forum who at one time or another has had difficulty letting go and not trying to figure out how the outcome will manifest.

I read somewhere that it is the essense of our thoughts and emotions which will manifest and in different ways that we could ever imagine. It is our higher self which is in charge rather than the ego which constantly gets in the way. Some manifestations take years (in our time) to take shape and even then will not be in the way we could ever have imagined. They will be however, from the original idea.

If we follow our highest excitement even though it may not seem related to what we think we wish to manifest this, according to Bashar will eventually lead to the external manifestation.

I set out for example to manifest a new car. This happened fairly quickly as my old car just died on me. My new car is not anyway close to my 'ideal' car but nevertheless, I am really happy with it. I have infact made a successful manifestation but because I let go of thinking how it was going to happen it manifested with great speed.

Think of it like this. The universe has one hell of a job, delivering our manifestations into our own individual lives which has to be within our own belief system and what we are able to take owner ship of. Lots of things will be manifested 'wishy washy' as we (I am a culprit in this ) keep changing our minds. It really is focus, intend and let go and TRUST.

Can you let go of wanting to know what to do, at least for one second?

And if you can do it for one second, can you do it for two? how about three?

The fact is, you can't even think about it all day anyway, since there are so many other thoughts that may cross your mind.

Do we need to know everything about a car in order to put the key in ignition?

Wanting to figure things out is a major obstacle towards having what you desire.

So how does one get around this? Easy, it's EXACTLY the same as when you try so hard to find a set of lost keys. Over time, you get so frustrated that you eventually give up. And sooner or later, you find the keys effortlessly like nothing happened.

In other words, give up trying to control the outcome. It may even be a good idea to even stop all attempts to manifest, like giving it a break.

If that doesn't work, then struggle as much as you can, so that you eventually decide to give up altogether out of frustration LOL

Sooner or later, you'll realize how easy it is

Let me offer another "yummy" analogy which may help. If you are as green a thumb as your avatar photo indicates you are a wonderful cook....then this explanation will be a slam dunk. Ready ? Here goes.

Consider all the delicious veggies you've used in the meals you've prepared. You recognize that before any of them can get to your kitchen, a farmer (or even you, working in your vegetable garden) planted the seeds that eventually became the delicious consumables you fed to your family.

You do realize that once you (or the farmer) have planted those seeds...all that is necessary after that is for them to be nourished by the requisite soil, sun water, and air so they grow into perfect representatives of their kind (and only their kind).....all by themselves!

There is an extremely important point illustrated here. Once planted, the seed, sun, air, water, and soil need no assistance whatsoever to figure out how to do their work. Why ?

Because, as excerpted from one of the 2 responses I offered in the following thread: How do you get excited?

"The act of planting seeds, whether made of mental desires or from plants, is the ONLY way to activate the completed pattern that is ALREADY present IN the seed....it's the omnipresent capability for it to grow INTO fruition AS a bloom of its kind. Already!....even before it is planted."

".....we shall not think of our purpose as contingent on any conditions whatever, but shall know that by forming the idea of it in the absolute, and maintaining that idea, we have shaped the first cause into the desired form and can await the result with cheerful expectancy."

We don't need to know how to grow plants or manifest desire. We only need to know that it is the ACT of planting the seed and LEAVING it there that causes the "infinite system of which we are an inseparable part" to ACTIVATE the completed pattern IN IT !!

It is not you who needs to figure out how to manifest your desire into "fruition". The entirety of Creation knows exactly how to manifest YOU AS the very experience OF your desire....as grown from the seed (of your clearly visualized desire) you planted...within YOURSELF, the Ground of Your Being.

Just as the mustard seed ALREADY contains the completed plant within it (the "faith" of the mustard seed), so also does your visualization "seed" ALREADY contain everything needed for IT to grow into your experience, all by itself.

I hope you glean from this analogy that if you sow (see(d)) doubt and limitation, you reap doubt and limitation...perfectly....because THAT'S the nature and "shape' of the pattern you've given the Ground of Being to grow into "a perfect representation of its kind"!

Conversely, if you sow (see(d)) abundance and prosperity, the Ground of Being (i.e. the Creator) "grows" YOU into the manifestation of abundance and prosperity based on the nature and "shape" of the pattern you've given IT to become.

The Creator ? How can THAT be ? The Creator is ALL THERE IS....to be anything that we CAN visualize !! We live, move, and have our Being in Him! There is no One else to BE anyone or anything else !!!

If we sow doubt and limitation, ALL THERE IS becomes the manifestation of limitation we've provided as a pattern from which to grow. If you want to reap the "weeds" of experience, sow doubt and limitation.

If we sow abundance and prosperity, ALL THERE IS becomes the manifestation of abundance and prosperity we've provided as a pattern from which to grow. If you want to reap the fragrance of abundance and prosperity, sow the seeds of ONLY the abundance and prosperity you want to experience.

.....This is just as true for every variation, combination, or deviation in between abundance and limitation....that we visualize (see(d)) !!

No need to behave "as if" you must "fake it 'till you make it". The completion of your desire IS ALREADY a fact you accept BEFOREHAND because THAT'S the seed you're putting into the ground in the first place ! You don't need to "fake" waiting for a seed to "make itself" into a plant, do you? You KNOW beforehand that it must become what it was ALREADY intended to grow into, for real, right ? You don't have to "fake" preparing to harvest the vegetables you planted for your family to eat, do you ? This is EXACTLY the same as waiting expectantly for your correctly planted (visualized) desire (seed) to become the experience you planted it for !!

.....exactly like 2+2=4 BEFORE you compute it, or the availability of air (answered prayer) PRECEDES your need to breathe it (prayer request, or visualization)....or you would not even be able to breathe (pray or visualize) at all.

THAT'S how you see the completion of your desire as....ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED!

Consider that any idea (seed) comes from the only place that ALL ideas (seeds) have begun. They are all from the Creator of ALL THERE IS! The Creator has ALREADY created each and every type of seed and every kind of idea that could be possibly be conceived....out of His Own Perfect pattern. All WE have to do is sow the pattern He has ALREADY completed for us (that's the idea itself, remember?)....so we can reap what that seed already is AS our manifestation. And EVERY idea is....free.

To sum: Your idea (visualization) is the seed you plant into the "Ground of Your Being", or the SuperConscious Mind, in order for it, not YOU, to grow your desire into a perfect representative of its kind (the "bloom" of your experience of it). Every seed (i.e. every idea) is a COMPLETED pattern ALREADY!....each one waiting to be planted. Once visualized (i.e. im-planted, you must LET the "system" take complete control of everything required to manifest it into visible form. In short, you must "let go" of your desire, precisely like you must LEAVE THE SEED IN THE SOIL....in order for either to grow.....

What does all this have to do with letting go of figuring it out?

THAT'S why (and how) you ALWAYS reap what you sow....perfectly.

To express the Perfection that already is, and has always been, our birthright, is the Creator's gift of His Own power for us to "grow" ourselves into anything we desire to be...perfectly!

Then after a light simmering of those perfectly grown veggies, simply drain off any excess water, then sprinkle on a little salt, a pinch of pepper, and some butter on 'em (a little dab'll do ya)...and voila! Dinner!!


P.S. Any resemblance of this analogy to a certain biblical garden, or your favorite cooking show is entirely....intended.
