Trying to make sense of a recent situation
I wanted to work at a particular company for several years and was thinking to apply at the bottom just to get my foot in the door. The next morning after thinking this, a job posting was revealed in my field - I was thrilled and off my resume went. A few days later I was called with a phone interview, followed by an in-person (we clicked and the interview was a hit), then onto the 3rd interview with the hiring manager. Everyone was amazing - I could feel how much they loved working there! Their energy was spilling into me and making me excited about working with them.
The alignment of the events were effortless and felt that LoA was working for me. I followed up yesterday after one week of my last interview and was told that it went to someone internal but that I made the best impression. I feel they wanted to hire me but the internal candidate had the knowledge of their systems so they went with her.
I'm trying to figure out how did LoA work in my particular situation until a certain point and then come to a hard stop ?

Overall, you raise a tough question, but there is one easy part to your question to answer. The LoA was not "working for you" at one point, only to suddenly "come to a hard stop." The LoA is ALWAYS working. Now, you manifested a very positive interview, and that is great. You may yet get a job at that employer soon enough, having made such a good impression. Our office remembers good applicants and tries to find them when an opening later surfaces.
It is entirely possible that the Universe is conspiring to bring you something different, as well, which means you are drawing unto yourself an outcome that is more of a vibrational match to your dominant mental state. Yet, it could also mean that you played a "near perfect" hand at visualization, detachment, and transmitting the correct vibrational signal for the job you did not get, but that in the very end, you wavered.
It is just too hard to know the answer to your question. However, your unconscious mind would know, and you could consult it. As well, time often reveals the answer, so hang in there and keep on manifesting!

My daughter went through a similar experience, with a different outcome. Though she had no idea of LOA.
Around graduation time, she applied for a higher position within the company she had been working for. The interviewers loved her and the competition was between her and an older experienced employee. Well, the job went to the other person. Two weeks later, she was offered a better position and the other employee reported to her!

I agree with Balbrae. I'm at my dream organization now... after losing the dream position I had applied to, to an internal candidate.
Very few people at this organization have permanent positions; mine expires early next year and when I found out that the contract was going to be short, I was bummed out. I thought, "Damn, I got everything I asked for in this job, and clearly I forgot to ask for long-term security. The Universe is so literal!" Two people in my small unit have these permanent positions, and I was envious of them for a while, until I realized that their situation is so admired and sought-after, that they are effectively stuck at this organization for the NEXT 30 YEARS.
I, on the other hand, am being paid good money to train myself and work with great people on fun projects. Soon (maybe not as soon as I think!) I'll be free to take all of this great experience and my newly-impressive resume to a new work situation. It's all working out!

You didn't mention how you intend for the new job and your mental process.
I had a friend who had a perfect product to sell to people very hard to see. She used visualization and got herself appointments with those high powered decision makers. She was a great presenter and she always left the product sample which really should sell itself. She never closed the deals. She stopped calling me (from the other side of the continent) because of sidetracking important events right after I figured out what her problems were.
She was visualizing the process instead of the result, a common mistake. She naturally assumed she would succeed after the whole procedure, at which point she sat back waiting for the order that never came. LOA rewarded her with all she wanted but she forgot to ask for the purchase orders and the big cheques. Actually, the procedure might not even be necessary. Why close the door on good luck and easy success? Why insist on the whole procedure from chasing the prospects to the final presentations, rejecting the possibility of getting a surprise phone call with someone searching for her to place an order?
Did you focus on the result or the process? If you visualize the process of application and "successful" interviews, that will be what you get. Then the hard stop. Best not to concern with "how" but to put yourself in a scenario after the fact, e.g. see yourself in the new job environment and feel it.
