Say you want to manifest something with many important attributes-- a job, a new relationship. I've noticed that what people often do, and recommend, is to make a very specific list of the desired qualities and then use that list to help with visualization, or to simply formalize the "order". Surely in the days and weeks later it's common to remember some other important thing you add to the list-- how do you go about doing that? Obviously you can add it, but that conflicts with the idea that both Steve and Erin speak of, of just ordering and then moving on while you wait for the object of your desire to arrive. I know I'm making this too hard, but I'm very logical and practical and this is tripping me up a bit on placing my orders. What do you do in that situation? |

Sometimes it's better not to be all inclusive in specifications of what you want. Ask for the manifestation to be for the highest good and that of the most benevalent outcome which is better than you can expect or imagine. Often we don't know what is best for us. Our desires are limited by our knowledge. You don't desire next decade's hot gadgets because you don't know them yet. You may make a list of the charateristics of your ideal mate, but when you fall in love, it may be with someone beyond your design. Leave room for the perfect design and to be surprised with results beyond your imagination. |

From my experience, the universe can add together the thoughts and feelings you had about something you want to manifest from several experiences in order to create your order. For example, I was talking to a friend and telling her that I could not find the perfect person for me where I was living. She suggested I move to New York, but I said I don't want to move all the way there just to meet a great guy - he should move here! Then on another occasion I made a list of my perfect guy's qualities. He came to my area, he was exactly as I had imagined him - and from New York! |

When I look at my manifestations of the recent past, I see a pattern of something totally awesome that I asked for coming into my life, but with one or two fatal flaws that could have been avoided with a more complete/specific order. Or maybe the flaws were all for the best. Hmm, I always thought that that conclusion seemed like a bit of a cop-out, but it's starting to ring true just now... | |

I get the Abraham-Hicks daily quote, and I thought yesterday's was apropos: "As you give thought to your future—your future that may be 10 years; your future that may be 5 years; or your future that is 60 days away—you literally begin pre-paving. And then, as you move into those pre-paved moments, and as that future becomes your present, you fine-tune it by saying, This, is what I now want. And all of those thoughts that you have put forth about your future, right down to this moment when you are now intending what action you want to take, will all fit together to bring you precisely that which you now want to live." --- Abraham Excerpted from "The Law of Attraction, The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham" # 281 |
