Default Balbrae's Service Thread: Your Affirmations Read with Music & MP3 Recorded for Free.

Hi, all:

I have started recording three-split affirmations with classical music. Once recorded, I upload them to a free hosting site, where you can listen to them, or download them for free, if you like them. This is an ongoing-process, and more will be added as time goes on.

I will take requests from you all (three-split affirmations as described below), to record YOUR affirmations, at a pace that time and demand permits. I will record your affirmations to music, for free. Just send me your words, and I will send you your MP3 audio recording with music. For now, I will take the first five requests made by you all, and I will record those. Please make your request in a response to this post, below. (When requesting them, please type the text of your affirmations--Affirmation No. 1, Affirmation No. 2, and Affirmation No. 3, as the protocol below demonstrates.) Once I record your affirmation, I will post it on a link here, in this thread, which you can access by clicking and listening/downloading. For now, I will kick off this thread with the first affirmation, which I did a few days ago. You may access this affirmation for listening or downloading:

BALBRAE'S AFFIRMATION NO. 1: "HAPPY THOUGHTS" (Click Link Below)

Download 2011-11-19 Balbraeaffirmationhappythoughts.mp3 - Kiwi6.com Mp3 Upload

So that you know what you are getting in this affirmation, please allow me to explain the first one in detail (as to how its recorded and its contents). For later submissions, I will explain only what the words are, without going into this detail again about the channels and effects, which will be the same for all subsequent postings, unless specified otherwise.

A. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

I make these affirmations using my Digital Audio Workstation software, Cakewalk, Sonar 8.5, using Windows 7 (64-bit platform). The voice speaking the affirmations is mine, using effects processors explained below.

The main-center, stereo channel carries the starter affirmation, the hard-right, stereo channel carries the second affirmation, and the hard-left stereo channel carries the third affirmation. The hard-right and hard-left affirmations are turned down in volume, to a barely audible level. Disclaimer: these may operate on a subliminal level, so please be aware that if you don't want to listen to subliminal audio, then please do not listen to this recording. However, I fully disclose the words of the subliminal channels, which you can confirm by listening to carefully with headphones--especially when the main channel is soft or quiet. (There are no subliminal tricks going on with this affirmation, only full disclosure of what its contents are.)

Once the center-main-channel's affirmation is flowing, one cannot really hear the hard-left and hard-right-channels' affirmations, which operate on a subliminal or near-subliminal level. (See full disclosure above and below.) About special effects: I like having the middle channel carrying the main affirmation sound a little "spacey," so I use a "phaser" effect, which "swishes" the voice back and forth on the stereo spectrum a bit. For the hard-left and hard-right voices, I use simple reverb, but no phaser. This allows the middle channel to be the dominant voice, the conscious mind trains on.

Now, about a third of the way through the music, I switch the affirmations to different channels, and then I do that again about two-thirds of the way through the music. Thus, at 1/3: Affirmation 1 leaves center stage and suddenly "appears" on the hard-right channel, while the hard-right channel's Affirmation No. 2 suddenly appears center-stage at the middle channel. Later, at 2/3: Affirmation No. 2 moves to the hard-left channel, which gives up its Affirmation No. 3 to the middle channel. It's a fantastic product.

B. DISCLOSURE OF WORDS USED IN THESE THREE AFFIRMATIONS (Including subliminal affirmations on hard-left and hard-right channels):

1. Middle Channel with reverb, phaser, and compression effects, playing with Beethoven's Piano Pathetique Symphony, Movement No. 2:

Affirmation No. 1 - "Happy thoughts that serve me well fill my mind every day. Happy thoughts that serve my higher good fill my mind all day long. It matters not whether the object of a thought is true or false--that is not the criteria for a thought to enter my mind. What matters is whether a thought is happy and whether it serves me well. Happy thoughts that serve me well are the only thoughts I keep in mind." (This affirmation later moves to the hard-right channel.)

2. Hard-Right Channel with only reverb effects, volume turned way down--barely audible, sometimes inaudible:

Affirmation No. 2 - "I am the master of my thoughts. I control what goes in my mind and what stays out of my mind. I direct all my thoughts perfectly, all day long." (This affirmation later moves to the center-channel, and then the hard-left channel); and

3. Hard-Left Channel with only reverb effects, volume turned way down--barely audible, sometimes inaudible:

Affirmation No. 3 - "Success. Lying on the beach. A sunny day. Sitting under a waterfall. Hiking in a rainforest. Scuba diving around a tropical reef. Clear focus. Bundled up warm on a snowy day. Sledding down a hill. Diving into a pool. Floating on a raft down a lazy river. A warm cozy restaurant during a rainstorm. Playing a board game on a lazy, summer afternoon. Maryland crabs by the pool along the shore in the summertime. Watermelon at a summer evening picnic." (This affirmation later moves to the center-channel, at the last part of the music.)

Enjoy!

Here is the text of three affirmations, which I read to music, recorded, and bounced to three different channels, as above described in the first post of this thread. The accompaniment is piano, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, Movement 1.

(1) (Center Channel): "My Mind Is Strong. My Mind is Clear. I am guided by the wisdom of my infinite unconscious mind. All is well. I am whole. My mind is calm. Success. Confidence. Inner Clarity. Inner peace."

(2) (Right Channel): "I am pre-approved. I was pre-approved by The Creator long before my existence came into being. I am pre-approved for all eternity. By right of birth, I am fully qualified to Approve myself, and I do so each and every day, through all the days of my many lives."

(3) (Left Channel): "I am infinite love, wholly adored beyond all measure and loving all others to the end of eternity. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."

ENJOY!

Here is my fourth, three-part, three-channel audio-affirmation in MP3 format, which I read and recorded to Pachelbel's Canon in D (578). This request came from a member on this forum who wished to remain anonymous. That anonymous member is the author of this affirmation, not I. You can listen to this audio-affirmation or download it for free, at my "Kiwi6.com" link below.

Thank you, Anonymous Requester No. 1, I think your Affirmation turned out very well!

Text of Three-Part Affirmations, written by Anonymous Requester No. 1:

(1) Center Channel (later moving to right channel, then to left channel):

"I love and respect my own uniqueness. I feel magnetic, I feel beautiful, I feel sexy. I attract an abundance of beautiful and caring people. Intimacy feels safe. Intimacy feels like a celebration of the Universe. I radiate love, and I always receive an abundance of love in return."

(2) Right Channel (later moving to center channel, then back to right channel):

"Because of my beauty, my intelligence, my kindness and my depth of being, people are naturally attracted to me. I make a fantastic partner, because I connect to people in deep and meaningful ways. I value myself, and my confidence shines through me."

Default Balbrae's Free Audio Affirmation No. 5 - I Read Blazingly Fast

Here is my fifth, three-part, three-channel audio-affirmation in MP3 format, which I read and recorded to Beethoven's Rondino in Eb for 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 horns, and 2 bassoons. You can listen to this audio-affirmation or download it for free, at my "Kiwi6.com" link below.

BALBRAE'S AUDIO AFFIRMATION NO. 5: (Click Here-->> Download 2011-11-27 Ireadblazinglyfast - Beethoven, Rondino Eb Maj.mp3 - Kiwi6.com Mp3 Upload<<<)

TITLE: I Read Blazingly Fast, recorded to Beethoven's Rondino in Eb for 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 horns and 2 bassoons.

TEXT OF AFFIRMATIONS:

(1) Center Channel (later moving to left channel, then right channel):

"I Breathe Deeply...I am relaxed...I am comfortable...I am at ease....Things are well...My mind is still...All is easy... I Breathe Deeply...I am relaxed...I am so comfortable, and I am at ease....Things are well...My mood is calm...I breathe deeply, and all is easy...

With aid of my unconscious mind, I read blazingly fast and have excellent retention of the material I read. I am comfortable raising the speed of my reading, and I am very quick at moving through the extraneous words, to focus on the key phrases of each page. If I want to, I can easily read over 100 pages an hour, regardless of the material, and maintain thorough recall and retention of what I read."

(2) Left Channel (later moving to center channel):

" I Breathe Deeply...I am relaxed...I am comfortable...I am at ease....Things are well...My mind is still...All is easy... I Breathe Deeply...I am relaxed...I am so comfortable, and I am at ease....Things are well...My mood is calm...I breathe deeply, and all is easy..."

(3) Right Channel (later moving to center channel, then Right channel):

"I Breathe Deeply...I am relaxed...I am comfortable...I am at ease....Things are well...My mind is still...All is easy... I Breathe Deeply...I am relaxed...I am so comfortable, and I am at ease....Things are well...My mood is calm...I breathe deeply, and all is easy...

My eyes penetrate my reading materials like laser beams. I drink in the words on every page, as they fly directly from my eyes into my mind. I comfortably sweep my hand on each page, to pace me quickly and steadily through my reading material, and keep my focus trained. I am comfortable always moving on at a brisk pace, knowing that my mind absorbed what was read. My peripheral vision is excellent, and I use it well, picking up words, in a wider glance on the page."

Great idea Balbrae and well produced.

One big suggestion though...
In the audio you are using "I" instead of "you".

I listened to one and automatically my mind starts building a picture of what it thinks you look like talking about how great you are. It's rather amusing.

Imagine seeing a video of someone looking at you saying "I'm great, I'm so amazing" etc
Contrast that to someone looking at you saying "You're great, you're so amazing"

This is pretty important, especially when the voice you hear is different to your own voice.

Nice though.

Hi, Lionman:

Thanks for you kind words and excellent observation. I agree with you. I have recently begun using a newer technique--a 2-cycle approach ("I" and "You") on the 3-part affirmation platform. I was going to mention this in this thread soon, but you beat me to the punch.

The two affirmations that use that newer technique have been produced, and I listen to them regularly. I like them a lot. They have not been posted publicly anywhere, due to licensing issues, which have not yet cleared. In particular, I am using free songs from a 2-man group called Deep Sky Divers. (They make excellent "ambient" or "new-age" music.) Although I use this newer method on my private audio affirmations because there is no licensing problem for private use, I have not uploaded them because I have not yet received licensing permission to publish them on the Internet (i.e., on my Kiwi6 site that is hyperlinked to the threads of this post). The details: In a recent thread, I noted that I have sent a written request directly to the band, requesting that I be able to publish their music as background for my free audio affirmations. (See thread at: Has Anyone Heard of the Deep Sky Divers?.) So until I get licensing clearance, that new method will have to be utilized on license-free, royalty-free music, which I am going to add more of to this thread very soon.

Please allow me to explain the new technique. I give credit to others for this idea, as I did not come up with it on my own. Unfortunately, I cannot recall on what website the idea was discussed--it was some website that sells audio-affirmations. Anyhow, the idea given to me by others was as follows: affirmations should use BOTH pronouns, "I" and "you," because our unconscious minds actually become habituated according to auto suggestions (things we tell ourselves) and according to the suggestions made by others to us. So, if one were to "double-down" and duplicate the affirmation, using both pronouns, "I" and "You," one can reprogram one's beliefs that arise from either source.

For example, if a person forms the belief that he or she is a nervous public-speaker, that unconscious, habituated belief may have been suggested, planted, or reinforced by one's own negative internal chatter and/or by another's criticism. So a 2-cycle affirmation on this might go along the lines of:
  1. "I am calm and confident when speaking in public, and I speak clearly and persuasively. People are fascinated by what I say in public" (repeated at least three times before switching pronouns from "I" to "you"); and

  2. "You are calm and confident when speaking in public, and you speak clearly and persuasively. People are fascinated by what you say in public" (repeated at least three times). Then, the other two parts of the affirmation (right and left channels) move into the center channel, also using a 2-cycle ("I"/"You") pronoun substitution.
By using the two-cycle approach, one can actually cast out both "demons" from their unconscious mind. The first demon is the demon of an unwanted, habituated, unconscious belief-system that was created by one's own self-criticism. The second demon is the demon of an unwanted, habituated, unconscious belief-system that was suggested or reinforced by others.

When I read about this 2-cycle idea, I thought, "Wow--that's pretty ingenious!" Since I have been using the 2-cycle approach, I swear by it. I actually experimented with a 3-cycle approach: (1) "I"; (2) "You," and (3) my first and last name (e.g., "John Doe"). The third cycle aimed to address beliefs suggested by others, to others, where my name would have been used. Thereafter, I would learn about this "gossip" or "reputation" statement, which could form an habituated, unconscious belief. For example, John Doe might hear or read a statement such as: "John Doe is a nervous public speaker." The pronouns "I" and "you" wouldn't cut through the belief system as quickly as "John Doe," given that the suggestion was planted by the use of one's name, e.g., "John Doe," not the pronouns "I" or "you."

Now, I must confess that I'm not ready for the 3-cycle approach. It is just weird to hear my name in an audio affirmation. However, when I re-recorded it and deleted references to my name, replacing it with the "you" pronoun, I made a mistake. I didn't actually erase the "silent" Channels 2 and 3. So in the end, it was there in the soft, barely-audible whispers: my name + the affirmation. I laughed at my "mistake," and just let it be. My conclusion is that it's easier if the third cycle (mentioning my name) is done very softly. I'm okay with that, but am only uncomfortable when my name is pronounced loudly in the middle-panned channel, Channel 1.

Thanks for your interest and comments. They're very helpful.

Nice, I see how the two-cycle approach would tackle issues from both angles. I can see how this would be especially useful for yourself having recorded it.

I still do wonder though if the unconscious mind hearing someone else's voice saying "I" would equate it with itself. Especially for instance if it's another gender or a very different sounding voice from your own.

When creating tracks for other people but using the "I" pronoun, maybe you need an induction at the beginning and dotted throughout. Something like: "I am the voice of your unconscious" or something like that to anchour the pronoun in the subject.

I dabbled in a bit of NLP awhile ago, and your productiveness has inspired me to look into it again, so cheers for that!

Btw, what software do you use?

I'm very happy to hear about the results you are experiencing, Ishh! You're welcome! The power of listening to positive affirmations is starting to scare me, in a good way. It completely re-writes old habituated patterns in my subconscious mind. I roll through like 5 different affirmations when I sleep, with comfy, cushy headphones, with my MP3 player set to "random-play" and "repeat-all" modes. Some nights, I will just play one of the affirmations over and over, rather than listen to all five--depending on my my "need of the day" is. Then I drive to work listening to them. Then I listen to them with headphones at work, when I'm able to do so. Here is an excerpt of a post I recently made in another thread that is on point with your observation. It describes the profound effect listening to audio affirmations has had on me: http://www.stevepavlina.com/forums/i...ml#post1037272

I would concur with your observation to this degree: when I listen to audio affirmations when I sleep at night, I get a feeling of "solid" relief during the days that follow--not in my mind, which could be fleeting and mercurial, but in my solar plexus area, which stays with me for a long time. Please allow me to give you an example.

One issue I have manifested in this life is a proclivity to please others excessively, often to my own detriment or dissatisfaction. I'm not talking about constructive, "healthy" pleasing of others, I'm talking about the kind of co-dependent pleasing that is based on self-deprecation, which does not support my higher good. With that premise established, let's talk about the feeling you may be describing that I experience, when successfully dissolving this issue of mine.

The positive, audio affirmations that I listen to during my sleep work on a deep level, as evidenced by how I feel when I am awake in the days that follow such night-time listening. Say, I'm at the office, and I see certain people or bosses that the "old" me would want to excessively please, to my deprecation, insecurity, or unhappiness. I now just walk away or back to my office, very serenely, avoiding the please-others scenario. Rather than feeling some motivational "pep talk" in my head, and rather than feeling rebellious or independent-minded, I simply feel "solid" in my core. When I don't give in to old habits to excessively please others, I don't feel a "void" anymore by not scratching that itch. I just feel "normal" or "solid" and I choose to go to my office without trying to feed insecurities by pleasing others. This feeling is not a "mental" feeling at all. This feeling is not a "get-even-by-not-talking-to-you-because-you-don't-support-me-enough" feeling. This feeling is really not a feeling, at all. It's simply a "solid coreness" that allows me to continue to behave in a way that serves my higher good.

Now, this is quite remarkable to me because, in the past, I have relied heavily on motivational books and philosophies--to "think" my way to better behavior. But that always left me feeling "empty" inside because my habituated, unconscious mind was not following the dictates of my conscious mind's mental inspiration. As time wore on, my mental "pump" would fade, causing an even greater dichotomy between my conscious and unconscious mind. On the whole and in the long-run, it is my unconscious mind--not my conscious mind or "conscious will power"--that controls my behavior and the realities I manifest. However, with the audio-affirmation "therapy" I give myself, I am reaching my unconscious mind, and I am left feeling no "pump" whatsoever, just a "solid core." For me, feeling "psyched" or "inspired" works mainly on a superficial level, subject to evaporation. On the other hand, feeling a peaceful, "solid core" works on a much deeper level, with no "fireworks." That is how I know that audio affirmations listened to while I sleep are affecting me on a deep, subconscious level, "re-writing" my habituated patterns and core beliefs about my worthiness and function in the social world. (By the way, I listen to my audio affirmations while typing away at my computer at work--sometimes all day long--even though the volume is turned way down, so as not to distract me. Hence, my subconscious mind receives these positive messages of audio-affirmations on some days, up to 18 hours a day. This additional, daytime listening further accelerates the benefits and "healing" provided by this "unconscious-mind therapy"--over and above that provided by nighttime listening.

So, I'm happy for you, Ishh. The good news is that, as I crank out more and more of these audio-affirmations, including the one I'm working on for you, you will have a greater selection to choose among, to find the ones that work better for you. The resulting benefits will just snowball and snowball. Who knows? By the end of 2012, there might be 100 audio-affirmations on this thread to choose from. And with people sending in their good ideas for affirmations, like you did, the results will derive from great ideas and be quite varied, indeed!

I'm glad you like the "Happy Thoughts" audio-affirmation. For some reason, one of my favorite Audio Affirmations posted so far is the "My Mind is Strong" affirmation. It just gets me in a good place! However, my favorite one by far is my audio-affirmation called "My Greatness is Plain to See." It is set to some really cool "ambient/new age" music from the group Deep Sky Divers. I have not uploaded it yet (due to licensing issues that I am trying to work out (to publish it on the web).) If I can't get the free licensing to use their music publicly on the Web, then I will just re-produce the audio recording, using different music that doesn't tie me up for licensing rights. Then I will upload the audio-affirmation "My Greatness is Plain to See" to this thread. Keep an eye open for that one, I think you'll like it! Thanks!

Hi, Lionman:

Great idea about the introduction statement like "I am the voice of your unconscious." That's rather provocative, and it would even work for MY voice of MY affirmations, to reassure ME that I am reaching myself at a deep level. So, I'll have to give some thought to that.

The software I use: Cakewalk Sonar 8.5 Digital Audio Workstation. It is loaded with effects-processing capability and digital mixing capabilities.

Good luck with getting back into it! It's fun and it really works on the subconscious mind in amazing ways!
