Default What the Bleep do we Know?

I just watched a video disc of the 2006 movie, What the Bleep do we Know. It had its moments. I'm sure many of you have seen this movie. Some of the featured commentators are brilliant in their respective fields.

It stands to reason that the commentators (below listed) have published books relating to the topic of this forum: Intention-Manifestation. So what have you read or listened to by the commentators featured in the movie What the Bleep do we Know, that you would recommend to others on this forum? While I could (and probably will) research the matter, myself, I wanted to hear from you all about your personal views on such publications. I suspect that many of you may like one of the particular commentators very much and would be enthusiastic to recommend a book, audio book, or film by him or her. Some such publications are actually listed below.

Here is a list of the featured commentators in the movie, as published (and editorialized about) in a Wikipedia article about the movie. Please make your recommendations, if you have any. Thanks.

Featured Commentators Who May Have Publications That You Would Like to Recommend to Others on this Forum:

(1) Amit Goswami, is a theoretical nuclear physicist and was a member of The University of Oregon Institute for Theoretical Physics starting in 1968, teaching physics for 32 years. After a period of distress and frustration in his private and professional life starting at the age 38, his research interests shifted to quantum cosmology, quantum measurement theory, and applications of quantum mechanics to the mind-body problem;

(2) John Hagelin, a physicist at Maharishi University of Management, director of MUM's Institute for Science, Technology, and Public Policy, and three-time presidential candidate of the Transcendental Meditation-linked Natural Law Party;

(3) Stuart Hameroff, an anesthesiologist, author, and associate director of the Center for Consciousness Studies at the University of Arizona, who worked with Roger Penrose, on a speculative quantum theory of consciousness;

(4) JZ Knight, a spiritual teacher who is also identified in the narrative portions as the spirit "Ramtha" that Knight is allegedly channelling;

(5) Andrew B. Newberg, assistant professor of radiology at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, and physician in nuclear medicine, who coauthored the book, Why God Won't Go Away: Brain Science & the Biology of Belief (ISBN 0-345-44034-X);

(6) Candace Pert, a neuroscientist, who discovered the cellular bonding site for endorphins in the brain, and in 1977 wrote the book Molecules of Emotion.

(7) Fred Alan Wolf, an independent physicist, who recently wrote The Yoga of Time Travel: How the Mind Can Defeat Time, and is featured in the documentary film Spirit Space.

(8) David Albert, a philosopher of physics and professor at Columbia University, who according to a Popular Science article is "outraged at the final product" because the filmmakers interviewed him about quantum mechanics unrelated to consciousness or spirituality but then edited the material in such a way that he feels misrepresented his views.

(9) Joe Dispenza, a chiropractor, author, and a follower of Ramtha's School of Enlightenment;

(10) Michael Ledwith, author and former professor of theology at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth;

(11) Daniel Monti, physician and director of the Mind-Body Medicine Program at Thomas Jefferson University;

(12) Jeffrey Satinover, psychiatrist, author and professor;

(13) William Tiller, Professor Emeritus of Material Science and Engineering at Stanford University.

I found a couple of the skits to be quite corny.
It doesn't mean I don't like it. However, I really enjoyed the extended version more. They went and added extra parts of the orginal interviews and also went back to serveral of the people for a more indepth interview.
I found those interviews much more entertaining and mind blowing.
I often just kept that downloaded on my computer and had those (not the movies) play on random instead of music during the day. My ears picked up on many different tidbits based on the day/mood/midframe.
There was a professor who didn't agree with the tone of the movie, but still traveled with the tour/cruise to clarify his point of view. I appreciated the honesty becuase it enforces knowing that things are really based on perception and what you choose to do with the information.

But I haven't gone and researched the people themselves, along with what other works they produced. I am also curious if anyone has any good reccomendations.

Thanks, Missbhaven. You'll note my original remark about the movie: "It had its moments." This remark was a charitable way of saying what you said. It is definitely not a great film, but there are some very good parts. I haven't seen the extended version or extra portions. However, I think the flip side of the disc (I bought my copy) has extras, which I should watch. Thanks for the suggestion.

Finally, my research shows that, while a few books have been published by the lot of interviewed persons, there are no audio books of such written books. I am a big fan of audio books, given that I do a lot of driving. But I'll check out the extras on the flip side of the video disc. Maybe it will prove interesting, as you say. Thanks.
