Make your own rules and conditions for manifestation

I want to suggest a method that works for me, including one that addresses the quandary of whether action is necessary for manifestation.

A strong requirement for IM is belief and faith, which many seem to have problems with because the belief in what is not there can feel fake. After all, one usually wishes for what one doesn't have and it's challenging to believe otherwise. Also, detatchment is difficult when the desired is clearly and sorely missing in one's life.

And then there is a matter of anxiety over lack of action or not knowing what action to take since most people are accumstomed to taking action to get what they want. Mixed emotions and anxiety over no action certainly does not bode well for manifestation.

My solution: Make your own rules to manifest your goals. All you have to do is believe in the rules and conditions you decree yourself.

I will describe two of the ways I make and believe in my own rule.

I was inspired by Abraham's teaching of assigning duties to the Universe or a Manager and decided to make deals for manifestation. This is particularly good for when I have no idea what action to take. An example may illustrate this deal making rule.

I wanted another computer in addition to my old one, preferably a lap top. I had already written out having a well functioning computer. Then I decided my job would be to bring my broken lap top to a store for disposal, and it would be the Universe' job to bring me a new computer. I do my job and the Universe will do its job. I would not trouble myself with the Universe' job or wonder how it would be done. So I did my end of the deal that morning. In the afternoon, a friend called to offer me an old lap top he didn't need anymore. The next morning another friend called to offer me extra computers her estranged husband left behind.

If you really feel the need of taking action and feel uncomfortable otherwise, by all means take some action, any action you decide on. Just make a deal with the Universe to do its job of bringing you what you want. It's more effective and easier to believe in if you make the action meaningful to you, such as clearing out space to make room for the desired object, or you can say I will take care of my health because I know how to do that and You will take care of bringing me my money. The main thing is to do something you can do easily and happily as an offer to bargain with the Universe. As long as you believe in the deal. Just do what you promise and be at peace. Thus you stay detatched but knowing what is coming.

I will describe another rule I make that works for me later.

I must say I'm at a loss...
I'm not sure exactly what works for me...
but I'm pretty sure I-M works for me
just that I have tried so many methods and the thing is, I usually forget what I did, all I know is I constantly use I-M but coz results kind of come way later, I totally forget what exactly I've done that worked...

Sometimes I even think that because I gave up, that's when I-M worked...
but I'm gonna try this method...might produce quicker results

That sounds like a very good idea. I have taken to burning candles with the intention that hte goal will be manifested once the candle has been burned. I can also try to make a deal of cleaning out and better organizing my closet! My only concern is who's idea of "clean" and "well organized" are we talking about? Mine, or the Universe's? Hopefully mine, as the Universe may have super high standards! LOL!

As most people perceive a big goal as a big task even though there is no big or small goals or task for the Universe, it may be fun and reassuring to start with a "smaller" goal in this deal making game and progressively increase the ambitiousness of what you want to manifest. The whole idea is to unconditionally believe in and detach from the outcome. Ultimately, your deal will be: my job is to be happy, or my job is to believe, and the Universe will do its job of bringing the desire into my perceivable reality.

A prelude to another example of my own rules: I have a very nice wardrobe mostly of my own making. I buy sportswear at designer outlets but make my own business suits and evening wear. Thus I dress well without spending all that much. Since I pay little for clothes, I can splurge on functional accessories. I buy nice comfortable shoes but would not pay outrageous prices because they would wear out fast with so much walking I do. Most outrageously priced shoes are for fashion slaves willing to suffer pain anyways. But I have a thing for beautiful bags. I have good rationale for expensive bags, mainly that they can really elevate any simple outfit and that good quality bags almost never wear out and are therefore good investments. Since being aware of LOA, I even make bags out to be symbols and receptors of prosperity.

About three years ago, my company was put into trusteeship because of wrong doings by a few people. (I had been in a dark mental state due to loss of human and then canine soul mates and, looking back, I subsequently manifested a sequence of devastating financial events.) It took me half a year to locate my accounts and re-register with another company. I finally received some money due me but needless to say I was in a financial hole. Meanwhile I had learned much about LOA. One day I went to my favorite discount outlet and picked up a little $80 bag I really liked and walked around to look further in the department. There suddenly I saw a black version of what I had admired before in gold. It was beautiful, very good quality and would be very useful to me. It had been discounted down to $200 from the original $700 (which I later verified online). It was still a little hard to justify at such a time. After some deliberation, I put back the first bag and took the black one to the cashier after I made a new manifestation rule: every time I buy a bag I love that fits all my criteria of style, quality, function and price, it will bring me money. I brought this beautiful bag home and admired it with much joy. I imagined it would bring me good fortune, even figuring out how much cash it could hold (half a million dollars). I used it the very next day to see my manager who had called me for a meeting. To my total surprise, she handed me a bonus cheque of $1000! I stared at it for a moment in amazement, not as much for the money as for how my new rule worked out!

For a day I thought about this manifestation and also the bag I put back in preference of the one I bought. I went back to the store and bought it too two days after the first purchase. Several days later, I checked my bank account for the pay deposits, which usually came in two sums, one in Canadian and one in U.S. dollars. Inexplicably, there was a third deposit of several hundred dollars! It was much later that I found out there was such an additional deposit every few months, probably quarterly, though I still am not sure about the acconting of it.

It may be argued that both sums of money would have been mine nonetheless, or that I might simply have had precognition of their coming. But at the time, they came to me as total surprises, completely unexpected, right after the purchase of each bag and the institution of my new rule.

These are some of my stories. It's about free will, choices, and decisions. Try it. Believe in your own rule. Let me know how it works out for you.

I am fond of your idea. It reminds me of a parable in the New Testament, alluded to in this post's opening quote. Different workers hired at different times for the same wage. Those that worked longer complained that those who worked less received the same as they did.

And the landowner replied to one of them, “Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Didn’t you agree with me to work for the standard wage?

Remember, the landowner in this parable is the kingdom of heaven. The landowner will do his job and pay us what we agreed upon. The great part is that we can always ask for more, regardless of when we started working, and the kingdom of heaven will open up.

Now to incorporate this idea into sigil magick. Aha!

O ye of little faith. You make a deal and it is written in stone so to speak. You don't "try" to make the deal. and you don't wonder about whose standard it is, etc. and that "hopefully" what you do would be accepted.

Before your post, it has never occured to me if what I did was good enough. A deal is a deal. There is this light heartedness and joy once my deed is done, even before, and the outcome is as good as delivered. A done deal. Just sit back or get on to other things.

The whole game is about establishing a firm belief, no wondering and questioning. No wishy-washiness. Start with a deal you can truly believe in.

Now my thought is that maybe this mehod is only good for people with complete integrity whose words and promises are good as gold, who trust the same of the other party. If you often have troubles keeping your words and agreements, then this would probably not work. You can't project the wishy washy attitude or dishonesty to the Universe.

So I made a condition yesterday. I made a deal that if I give some money or stuff to charity of some kind, I'll receive money. So I sent 5 euro to a bank account of an organization that helps animals. That in itself felt good, although it wasn't a big sum of money, but I also felt like I did something for the manifestation and didn't feel the need to do anything more (well, maybe a bit, but considerably less than usually). Today, I received 40 euro.

If one is looking for a good sign as to whether or not their manifestation is on its way, you can find it in the fact that you don't feel the need to do anything more. Albeit, more than likely if you are looking for a sign, you haven't let go, an important ingredient.

A sign comes to you, and is not something to look for. It is basically a way to keep faith - it is not exactly what you have asked for but instead of being disappointed, you are encouraged and your belief is re-enforced.
