LoA, Beings of Light and Adam and Eve

I've been reading and generally researching my spirituality quite a bit lately and one thing that keeps popping up is this:

Different philosophers keep mentioning that we once were free and enlightened beings that inherently knew things like LoA and our one-ness with the universal intelligence (God/Universe/etc), and all the things we are striving to come up to speed on. That we are, once again, becoming more and more like the beings we once were by rediscovering these truths.

Am I just imagining that? Were we once these once enlightened beings of light? If so, when was that? Is that what the Bible alludes to with the Adam and Eve story?

I think so. Remember that Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and were cast from the garden into a dualistic world.

It could very well be as you suggest. Abraham might disagree to the limited extent that Abraham said we don't want instant manifestation (as occurs in the place from whence we came). Thus, according to Abraham, we came to this world to savor anticipation, which occurs when manifestations take "time."

I think it relates to the stage of our evolution where we began to label things as right or wrong, good and bad. Instead of just living we began to pass judgement on our own actions. If you really consider it in depth that has a huge impact on our ability to create.
