I am making at least three different sound recordings for each affirmation I work with on a daily basis. I record these affirmations on my Digital Audio Workstation, Cakewalk Sonar 8.5. (The affirmations are the ones I have been coming up with and tinkering with to make them better.) For each affirmation, two of the three recordings have classical-music, background tracks, while the other has a pop/rock song background. For each affirmation, two of the three recordings are mixed down to present the spoken words of the affirmation at the same volume level as the music. This way, I can hear both, the words and the music. However, the third one has the music mix turned up, but the audio mix of the spoken affirmation turned down very low (e.g., -30dB), so that it acts as a subliminal audio track, barely discernible during quiet music passages. Here, the theory is that the subliminal affirmation has a direct, unfiltered path to the non-conscious mind, for faster absorption into the habituated thought patterns, to expedite results under the LoA. As I was saying in my other thread, What's in Your Visualization Board/Scrap Book?, I track my vision board photos and affirmations in a database (MS Access). So, here, on my affirmations board portion of the screen (the left console), I can click three different "Audio" boxes per affirmation, and each one will instantly start playing the audio above described. The audio is a readback of the affirmation, done with three separate reading "takes" (for 3 different inflections of the affirmation) looped to the end of the track, with the background music. So far, it's very handy, and once set up, it makes listening to my affirmations and subliminal affirmations a breeze. Now I will copy the audio to my Droid X phone and listen to them whenever, for however long I am inspired to do. Who else uses audio affirmations? A ton of fun, they are!
