Default question about the prosperity game

I feel "stuffed" with stuff.

Trying to decided what I want to spend that money on is really becoming a chore.

I'm I doing something wrong?

I think that's part of the process. Kind of takes the power out of money, right? Makes it so much less threatening. When you're able to feel bored about vast sums of money, you're much closer to allowing it to come into your life then when you are constantly thinking you don't have enough. Time to change your attention to something else; what IS important, now, that you have all the money you want and will continue to have it incoming?

Hi new karen

I think I can help you. I can understand it can get difficult to figure out what to buy when you are buying things for yourself. That is where the generosity and the philanthropist in you can come out. Like for instance, sandstone who is playing the million dollar game, has decided to buy tons of portable AED's for various schools, fire depts, etc. You can also donate money to schools. There are so many classrooms in need of computers, school equipment - even some of the programs are being eliminated so you could donate to those. There are animal shelters in desperate need of food, blankets, toys, etc for all the homeless pets. There are food banks that desperately need food and clothing - tv's and games for the kids.

New Karen, all you have to do is watch the news to see where help is needed. You could even start to donate some of your money to foreign countries. Like for instance, there are groups that are helping to drill water wells in various countries. Out here in the USA, we all take our clean and accessible water for granted. In many foreign countries, you have to walk miles every day to get water! So you could help to pay for those. You could pay for someones college education. Donate money to libraries. Womens shelters always need help.

There are tons of ways to think outside the box. Think like Oprah and Bill Gates and you will find tons of ways to spend your money.

I remember reading a story years ago of a philanthropist who decided to donate a million dollars to people who needed the seed money for their business and could not get a loan from the bank. He had people write letters to him and describe their business idea and he picked several of those people and gave them a free gift of money to start their business.

I know from this lottery show I watch that a couple who won the lottery decided to "adopt" families for christmas and thanksgiving and bought all the presents and food and clothing for several families for the holidays who were down on their luck.

With the economy the way it is and with so many needy people - you could find tons of ways to spend your money. So many ways in fact that you may have to play the million dollar game! lol!

You're doing it right. It's about taking the longing and nose-pressed-to-window feeling out of money and material things.

Ever see Brewster's Millions? You should see it sometime, it really highlights the theory behind it. In a nutshell, Brewster inherits a great deal of money, but in order to claim it, he has to spend a very large amount (I think it's a million in the original, but it's ten million in the remake with Richard Pryor) in a short period of time and have absolutely nothing material to show for it, the idea being that it will make him so sick of throwing money away, wasting it, that he'll be much more responsible and circumspect with the real amount he is to inherit later.

But, you know, if you have more than you can spend, you can always give it away. There are many great charities in the world that will use the money very well, indeed, and spending it on charity work is still spending it, and still keeping the flow going.
