If you won 146.2 million dollars....

I know there are a few active money threads currently so feel free to just ignore this post if you want. I don't mind talking to myself.

Let's say that this evening I won the Powerball jackpot. It is currently at 146.2 million dollars after taxes.

I would pay off all of my debt including taxes from 2009 and 2010.

I would put 10 million dollars in the bank. This is money that I wouldn't touch but would rather be used if in a dire emergency.

I wouldn't build a new house but I may add some additions to my current home.

I would pour concrete on my driveway.

I would give 1 million dollars to the Animal Protective League. I would require that they have my approval prior to spending more than $50,000 at one time.

I live on a country road with about 6 homes on the entire road. I would offer each homeowner $300,000 in cash for their house and property. I would then own the entire road.

I would purchase a handful of vehicles including a Nissan X-Terra, a couple of Audi's, and a BMW.

I would built the best winter greenhouse that money can buy. I would grow produce for myself and sell the rest. Marketed as homegrown.

I would take my family on vacation to Disney World, San Francisco, Hawaii and Washington D.C.

I would give my three best friends 1 million dollars each.

I would give my immediate family 1 million dollars each.

I would accept applications for funds from disadvantaged people living in the county. Depending on their genuineness I would provide funds for things like paying off credit card debt, taking care of the mortgage, buying toys for the children. If I began to form a good relationship with the people I may consider sending their family on a nice vacation.

I would purchase brand new Amish made furniture.

I would investigate to see if there is anything I can do to help boost the economy for those that live in this county.

I would build a large, incredibly fancy apartment that my clients could lease from me.

I would purchase the best plasma screen TV on the market.

I would own small homes in Florida and Arizona so that I can escape the winter months.

To be succinct I would spend my days figuring out ways to help others. As much as possible I would relieve people's financial burden as I know it can be an immensely difficult burden to bear.

I would have the hobby of choosing lucrative investment opportunities.

Oh, and I would buy an iPhone 4S.

Interesting.... I'll have to come up with something... It's not easy to improvise when managing that kind of money ..I live in Italy so for me that would be slighly more than 100 Million Euros... The difference is that here on lotto games, lotteries, etc... You don't pay taxes and keep the whole sum.

I'll think of what I'd like to do....
