$10,000,000 and $11,000,000 I wish I could say I am super imaginative but I want the same thing for both. I've always dreamed of having a yacht. I called a broker and listed my requirements. Looking for 2 luxury yachts, one to stay in the great lakes area and another to travel from Caribbean to the Mediterranean. He's prepared me a list and I make my choice after flying to view a couple. This double time ain't soo bad. |

$15million. Putting aside $1million to pay for ten years of salary, bonuses, etc. for a carer for my kids, someone who can taken them to and from various activities and assist the disabled child with activities, etc. It's not that I can't do this (I do it now), but I'm having more and more stuff to look after with the charity foundation and setting up various non-profits and businesses, and having someone who knows my kids and can work with them and supervise them would be a great help. So that's what I'm doing. Still leaves $14million, of course. My husband wants to set up a business to support young animators and produce animated films. Not as a studio, exactly, but more like a combination of venture capitol and distribution company (he understands the details more than I do And the other $4 I think I'll spend on gold and silver (brings, ingots, etc.). |

Ok, $12,000,000. Today and yesterday I feel like I've lost a little steam. Lots of money stuff coming in, interesting! That's what it's about though, right? We can't grow unless we get stretched just a bit... How am I going to spend all this money? I feel like I've been a little off in la-la land with this game. Like I'm making up this whole fantasy but not really feeling like I'm spending the money here and now. So that will be my new strategy, to spend the money where I am. Well... That's a little more difficult to do! Alright. Now that it's winter, it's time for the cross-country skiing and dog-sledding and skijoring and all sorts of fun outdoor stuff. The first thing I will do today is to buy a little shop called Finnsisu. I estimate the storefront and online business would run about $4,000,000. This will give me a little something to do, but will also feed my obsession. I will be around skiers all the time and we can talk about skiing and all things skiing all day long (aside from the time we're out on skis, of course). It will be awesome. I also start to research properties around the state that are adjacent to public lands. I purchase multiple lots throughout Minnesota and donate them to the appropriate governing agency. I also donate money and new equipment to be used for winter trail grooming and maintenance. $5,000,000. With the remaining $3,000,000, I begin to develop the foundation for an organization to promote healthy lifestyle choices for children and teens, especially children in poorer areas where these things aren't a priority. The premise for this org is that by being healthy and treating ourselves with respect, we make a positive contribution to the world (totally now articulate tonight, you have an idea what I mean!). I want to help kids feel better about themselves by making healthy choices for themselves, and to develop strength, etc. This org will focus primarily on kids being active, and will offer lots of opportunity to try new sports. For now we will focus on the basics like running, walking, hiking. Later we will delve into scuba and rock climbing! |

Okay, $16million. Getting the yard sorted out with a dog-fenced area and a cat-net area, plus an ever-swim spa enclosed in a greenhouse so I can use it year round. (We'll build a pool with the dream house; for now I'm happy with the spa). I'm going to engage the services of a landscaping company to start work on some of the gardens. Particularly, I'd like to get some fruit trees and maybe some nut trees, depending on what grows well around here (expert advice is always welcome). We'll also put the fruit trees under a net, but with motion-activated lights so bats don't get tangled up in it. And I'm hiring someone to come out and build me some aquaponics stuff (you can build it yourself, but I'm rich, I'll hire someone to do that), so I can get started with that. I love gardening, and with my greenhouses and the aquaponics, I'll be able to grow all kinds of great stuff, year round! We'll be moving into the existing house very soon, as the renovations are nearly done (and what isn't can be continued while we're present; it was mostly the interiors I wanted to get sorted out), so I'll engage a moving company and a cleaning company to take care of the house we currently live in. I'll set aside $3million for landscaping and maintenance. I'll buy $4million worth of gold and silver ($1million for each of my children), and I'll get my accountant to set that up so it's all above board and legal and so on. $5million in gold and silver for my own investments. And the remaining $4million can go into the charity foundation fund that I set up. |

Am i wrong in thinking this... if you treat this game as a game, then it will remain a game? Like if you were to say this for example... Quote:
Or am i wrong??? | |

Hi! I'm new on this forum and although this game started days ago I'd love to join. So, $1 million today! I call my boyfriend that he can leave work immediately. I know that's what he really wants. Than I give $100,000 to each of my parents, brother, sister, nephew (who's only a baby), each my boyfriends parents and his brother. That leave's me with $ 200,000 left and I'm going to save that for my son's education. |

Ooh what a fabulous idea for a game! Hope it's not too late for me to jump in. Day One -$30,000 to pay off existing debt (student loans, car loan, personal loan, credit cards) -$1,000 on books, mp3s and videos to learn Arabic and Hindi, and learn more about Jordan and India in general -$900 to fly from USA to Jordan (The Official Website of The Jordan Tourism Board) -$4,200 for 14-night stay in Aqaba or Amman (generous $300/night, likely less) -$5,000 for food, souvenirs, tours, etc (generous estimate, probably less) -$500 to fly from Jordan to India (Incredibleindia.org | Home page) -$5,000 for food, souvenirs, tours, etc (generous estimate, probably less) -$2,800 for 14-night stay in New Delhi ($200 per night) And all of the rest ($955,600) would be used to launch my dream project. I'd purchase food, clothing, toys, potted vegetables, water, etc and distribute them to as many impoverished people as I can before I run out of money. | The purpose of the game (as I understand it) is to challenge your own ideas and concepts about money. In this case, large sums of money. People playing this game have reported that they encountered all kinds of internal resistance and that when they looked at the things they were saying they were doing with the money, they saw patterns of belief and thought emerge, things they hadn't considered. It's also potentially useful for just getting you thinking about being in great financial abundance, to move into a headspace where being wealthy is completely comfortable and natural to you. Also, it gets you visualising, and positively imagining wealth: what you'd do with it, how you'd feel, etc., which, of course, goes into the whole "wealthy mindset" thing. |

So I am gonna play too. I was already doing a similar thing on my blog and I am excited to become part of this. My goal however was very small, but okay. This is gonna be fun. First $1,000,000. Wow. 1. Pay off my existing $2,000 debt. 2. Give away $100,000 to charities and non-profits that I support and love. Specially those working on preservation and promotion of culture, that's my passion. 3. Give $100,000 to my parents. 4. Give $100,000 to my sister so that she doesn't ever have to live in a life of scarcity. 5. Give $50,000 to my best friend to invest in his business. 6. Take a short trip to Europe: Italy, Spain and France. $50,000. 7. Get a small apartment in Chelsea, New York and live there for a year. $500,000. Apartment, living costs etc. 8. Save $80,000. -- while writing this, I realized I am not really ready for a million dollars in life. I can't imagine myself having so much money.I love you for initiating this idea, this is very enlightening in terms of helping me realize my limiting beliefs. Cheers. Looking forward to spending more money tomorrow. |

Another thought, @ Weaver- I think the game gets you to think beyond the confines of money, to what you might really like to have in your life. I have experienced some real resistance, but I also feel like I'm thinking more about my purpose in life, how I want to contribute, etc. Because if you have all this money to play with, you start to realize that money really isn't everything, and that there's a whole lot more to your life than buying cars and real estate! On that note... I was meditating last night and a thought occurred to me, it's not a new thought, I come back to it often. It's part of Oprah Winfrey's story, that early in her life she asked god to use her to do his will, and she always uses those words: to be used. Now, regardless of your feelings for Oprah, she has touched a LOT of peoples' lives, mostly for the good, I think. So when I'm feeling confused and like I'm not doing anything in my life, I come back to this, because I have done SO MUCH that has been amazing, but very self-indulgent, and I've never felt satisfied. Getting older, I realize I don't need it to be so much about me, but more sharing what i've learned with others. I meditated for a while on being used for god's will and I feel like I'm in a very pivotal, and very open, place right now, so I'm quite serious in this request. After I was done meditating, I walked upstairs where my roommate had left a copy of Oprah's magazine lying on the counter top. It was literally the first thing I saw in the kitchen. Good validation! Tonight I went for a run and was thinking about what the most obvious elements of my life are and came to the very simple and obvious understanding that my life has always been focused on pursuing well-being and the study of spirituality. Everything I have done, all the days of my life seem to be centered around becoming a better balanced and more fulfilled human being. So tonight, with my $13,000,000 I am founding an organization with a mission to help others discover their own spirituality and develop well being. The center will offer classes in every kind of spirituality and religion we can find. There will be yoga and meditation and hiking and bird watching... Peace of mind comes in all forms, and the center will be a place where people will come to explore and discover in areas they wouldn't otherwise have access to. The special focus will be on servicing those who are underprivileged, etc. to help them help themselves, to begin to change their own mindset about what's possible, to inspire, to empower. I am purchasing a large parcel of land for the center. I want it to be in nature, so I decide to buy a small lake with acreage in northern Minnesota, near the Boundary Waters wilderness. There will be plenty of room for exploration and outdoor activity (which is one of the major ways I find my peace in the world and want to share with those who come to the center). The first thing we need to do is to get the place set up. I purchase the land and hire a green design firm to work with. I want this to be as green as can be, drawing my inspiration from my former employer, Aveda. I want to be totally wind-powered, or powered by companies with green energy offsets. I also want to be self sufficient out there because I don't want to tear the land up to get power set up, and I want to be able to go without generators, etc. So it's a real challenge, because the land is really out in the middle of nowhere! This initial stage, with buying the land, hiring the design firm, surveying, zoning, contracting a green construction company, transporting them all etc., runs around $8,000,000. Because I have plans for how the admission to the center will work, I set aside the other $5,000,000 for use in other areas. |

$17million today. We've already got our homestead property, and a great piece of land up around the Grampians National Park. Now I'm thinking a house in Queenscliff, across the bay. My in-laws go there somewhat regularly, and it's a couple hours' drive, so it might be nice to have a house there for them (and us) to stay in. I had a look at the general real estate prices in the town and surrounds, so I'll set aside $2million (probably can find a good option for less, but if something really spectacular comes on the market...). I've also thought we should get a boat. A decent sized one, a catamaran with cabins and a galley. We're not particularly oceanside people, but it would be fun to scoot across the bay in a boat to Queenscliff rather than having to drive along the coast, and I do enjoy some aspects of being on the water (might be nice to try some deep water fishing, for example). If we find we like it, we might even plan a trip somewhere along the coast (don't know how that works, etc., might actually hire an experienced captain for something like that). So... set aside $3million there. I also want a really grunty, tough, off-road vehicle, something that can ford rivers (floods) and pull a caravan (though I'm not silly enough to pull a caravan off road Oh, and the caravan. I know we can afford to stay in any hotel we want, and that's appreciated, but honestly, I get tired of eating every meal out (even on holiday), and one of our kids can be easily unsettled by changes in routine, so having a caravan is a good option. Plus, if the kids want to have sleepovers, we could let them stay in the caravan, and we could loan the caravan to other family members and so on. The caravan I want is a Jayco with a reinforced frame (suitable for off-road, though I wouldn't deliberately go off-roading with it; now and then, though, we might encounter flooding or crumbled road surfaces or other not so nice road conditions, so having the reinforced frame is a good idea). It's got sleeping space for four, so the nanny and my personal assistant won't be along. So, utility vehicle and caravan, actually the cost is trivial compared to our income. No more than $100,000 for both (less than that, but it's better to estimate more and what you don't spend you can put in savings or, as I prefer, give to charity). I'm going to start carrying $100 notes with me, and when I see a collection tin for a worthy cause, I'm going to tuck $100 in. When the collection people come, their eyes will pop out of their heads. Imagine the story they can tell! And I might start leaving $50 and $100 notes in various places, for random people to find. I love, love, love the idea of being a completely anonymous "fairy godmother" figure (which is why I give so much money to charity; it pleases me to do so). But, I still have just under $7million today! Okay, well, I'm going to look into collecting vintage jewellery, like art deco and later. You can even get 18th century pieces sometimes, if you look in the right place. I'll get my personal assistant to find me an art dealer or agent who can keep an eye on the market and let me know when something good comes up. And as quality vintage jewellery is pretty pricey sometimes, I'm going to set aside $2million toward that pursuit. And $5million left. Gosh. Haven't done a charity donation today, $1million into the charity foundation, and the other $4 can be divided amongst my childrens' trust funds. And I'm good. |

$2 million today! I'm going to plan my wedding today. We only invite people who are very close to us, family and close friends and some neighbors. We would fly all of them to Venice, Italy where they can stay for a week of vacation. At the beginning of this week everyone who wants to can go to a great spa and they can do everything they want, from massages to haircuts to laser-dehairing to facials. The day after the spa the wedding will take place. Of course everyone stays in very, very luxurious hotel rooms with everything they can imagine and more. I am wearing a very nice but simple dress and my soon to be husband and our son wear matching costumes. Every woman and every girl gets flowers matching mine. In the morning we go for a trip in the gondola's and after that we have a small but very good lunch. Only with organic and vegan food. In the afternoon the wedding takes place and during that there is a couple of harpists playing soft romantic music. We eat cake, the best cake there is of course. Maybe cupcakes which look like 3 layer cakes. After an outstanding diner there is a party, and guess what, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers are on stage! They fly to Italy just for our wedding, isn't that great? And then, after the party, everyone goes to sleep except for us (me, my husban and our sun) we go on our honeymoon to Fernando de Noronha, an island famous for the 700 dolphins that live in that area. But I think I spent my 2 million before going to that island, so that's something to worry about tomorrow. |

Whee, $18million to spend today! I've been thinking about the dream house and talking to my architect and I'm going to put a couple million more into the fund for the house. This is for stuff like a steel frame (expensive, but creates lots of possibilities for the design), new technologies, etc. Might not use it all, but that's okay. We don't want an ostentatious house, but we want a state of the art one, and some of our ideas for the design are pretty unconventional. I'm going to just throw $10million into our savings/investment account. I'm not sure how much is in there at this point (my accountant will know I love to travel, but with the kids in school and the house being built and all the other stuff we have going on, it's difficult to get away. However, school holidays are coming up and I'm booking the family a cruise to New Zealand. Total cost is trivial, (including the air fare to and from the launch point for the ship), and I'll budget in some spending money, of course. We'll all need passports sorted out, so I'll get my PA on that. I also need camera equipment. Lenses, a good portable tripod, a good camera bag, etc. We'll want a video camera, a couple of different digital SLR cameras, etc. Again, this is all trivial. Of course, we should probably bring our nanny along, so I'll be booking her a cabin as well, and, what the heck, she can have some spending money (I'm a very generous employer, and I love to give bonuses So, I'll budget about $100,000 for the trip, including the cameras and the nanny and spending money and all that. Whatever is left today I'll just throw into the charity foundation. We have a number of really good, small charities who do excellent work, and we're happily supporting them in that. I love being generous, and I love having great abundance to share around. It makes me happy to be able to give money away, and still have more than enough for myself and my family. It's all good. |

$3 million today! I saw a lovely piece of land where I can build a house on (is that called a lot in English?) near 2 lakes and out in the open. The piece of land costs $ 2, so I have $1 left. The rest I save for tomorrow, when I am going to order my new home. |

Shoot. I had started writing something but browser crashed and I lost it! Today I have $29,000,000, since I'm combining yesterday and today. Since I plan to run the center on a scholarship basis, I am putting this all in a trust to use for that purpose, once the center is up and running!

I have $19million today, but I'm not feeling very well (physically), and I'm too tired to spend anything, so I'm going to put $3 in each of my kids' trust funds and $4million into my own savings/investments and give the other $3 to charity. And now I'm going to have a cup of tea.

No rest for the weary. I jumped on a plane and flew to the Bahamas. I am still here now until my yoga teacher training. Signed papers on the 2 properties I chose in week 1, my mom picked my fav! YEAHHH!! Also there is enough space on the property with an apartment building that I can add another building without kicking out the renters (then just choosing not to fill the new empty units). With my $12,000,000 today I've called up my mom and signed it over to her. I am leaving her in charge of planning the wedding, minus the entertainment part. Since I obviously have enough, I am paying for all the clothing of my bridal party along with my parents and my future in-laws. And I've arranged to get a custom made Oscar de la renta gown made. A small ceremony at my old church, out of respect to my mom. Then we go down to the hotel nearby into the largest ballroom they have. Only passed hds for an hour, while we take pics, then tasting stations open instead of a served dinner. A sugar show piece is arranged to be made as the event is on going and I've asked my friend to make the wedding cake. There are pool tables and other activities planned for those not interested in the music, yet feel to be social. A plane is rented to fly all family from Ontario to the Bahamas, along with accommodation for all guests (invited to the wedding ceremony) from abroad. Then, the music begins and will not end until 3 am. A small symphony, a small steel pan troupe, Jill Scott, Beres Hammond, NIN and/or Tool, Andy C, Shy FX b2b w/ Marcus Visionary are the entertainers selected. There shall be a break to watch the $3 million is spent on fireworks. The rest is spend on gifts to be given to my family (especially my Aunt and Uncle who housed us in a rough time) and as prizes for the other guests invited to the reception (which includes my whole graduating class, way too often it is just funerals that brings us together). $13,000,000. Still personal expenses. I set up retirement funds for my parents and my future in-laws (including grandparents). Now they can retire, and enjoy it with ease. Since they are given full use of all housing communities of ours, this is simply spending money. Last edited by missbhaven; 11-20-2011 at 06:31 AM. |

Yesterday I bought a huge piece of land, so today I hire 2 architects who will design my dreamfarm for me. I have $ 5 million to spend and I pay the architects $50,000 per person. The house has to look like a farm, but with top of the bill durable and ecological equipment such as a pump for earth warmth and solar panels. There is a really big kitchen/dining room and a great living room. There is also a fancy guestroom with a very luxurious bathroom attached. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with bathroom for us and a super bedroom, study and bath for my son. On the property are 5 other buildings. For me there is a yoga/meditation/reiki practice building and a building for my hobbies, big enough for 10 people to come over and craft with me. For my husband there is a workshop where he can build his motorcycles with every piece of equipment he's ever dreamed of and of course a garage for the motorcycles and cars that are in use (most are his, only one car is mine). And last but not least a building for my son to hang out with his friends, with a ping pong table, a fuss ball table and a bar (without alcoholics of course, he's only 7 ears old now). The remaining garden is lovely with flowers and trees and bushes everywhere. And there is a pond and in the back of the garden is a still spiritual place where me and my husband can do our rituals with our covens. When the weather is not so good the rituals can take place in my spiritual building of course. I think this is going to cost me around $ 10 million, so $ 3 million is payed now and the rest later. For the $ 900,000 that's left for today I'm going to buy a Ford Mustang from 1963 for my husband for $ 100,000. A muscle rod motorcycle for $ 60,000 and a Ford Escape Hybrid for myself for $ 40,000. $100,000 is going to the animal shelter here in town, $300,000 in our savings account and $300,000 in our sons savings account. |

$14,000,000 I set aside $8 mill for my boyfriend and my retirement fund. With $5 million wired to my cousin (a highly rated financial advisor), to establish an education fund for all my nieces and nephews along with any family that meets the criteria (85% average for each class). Knowing him it will be earning enough money that it will be able to offer these grants for over 40 years. My last million, I push my musical projects. The only thing I am doing strictly for myself. Gave rent to my cousin for studio time. I hired my favourite 4 producers to create beats for my 2 projects. Also hired my friend to direct and create a team to produce the visual aspects of both projects. I want to keep the low budget feel, and even still half a mill is more than most people use to create a solid album. I demand a clean polished product at the end and so far, no one is letting me down. $15,000,000 This is used to upgrade the designs (architecturally and interior) in my real estate with buildings: The Ontario farm, the Spanish farm, my 7 units in BC, the Bahamian apartment building, and my 3 commercial units (in Spain, Toronto and Nassau). My friend Lauren is in a tizzy. She has decided to open her own interior design company based in the business I've given her for the interior design of all the units. Lauren was glad I didn't want to buy a bunch of artwork, instead I am using pieces made by my grandmother and great aunt, it kept us in a nice reasonable budget, and it made it easier for her to see the vibes I am looking for in each space. All have such unique personalities already and I don't want to completely distract from that. I love that she managed to create a yoga studio with snack bar (w/ kitchen) in each commercial building and still have units for my farm products. She knows me so well I am using the same company that is working on the orphanage for my Bahamian apartment, I've also got them to draft up the design for the new building to be built there (this on has the biggest budget of $2.5 mill). The Spanish farm was the trickiest because I don't speak much Spanish, but my real estate agent does, so she took a leave of absence from her work for a month to help me. She said it will be the best vacation she has ever had. She made enough money off the sales that she can relax for a 3 years. This is just her following through on her work. |

Busy weekend and I haven't been really focused on how to spend... And my eyes are drooping... I have $16,000,000 today. Half is going to scholarship fund, and the other half is going to be distributed to major cities all over the country to provide meals for the homeless for the upcoming holiday. Good night!!!

$20million today. I'm so busy with setting up new businesses and buying real estate and seeing the architect and so on that I think I'm going to hire another assistant. Maybe a more business-oriented one, instead of just a personal assistant. Someone who can oversee everything and just report back to me on how things are progressing and check with me when a serious decision needs to be made on something. I'm happy to delegate. I'll need someone highly experienced and efficient, and I'm willing to pay top dollar for it ($100,000+ a year and various bonuses, as well). I'll put aside $2million for ten years' worth of this service. You know, people always think the rich are idle (how many times have you heard the phrase "idle rich"?) but I'm finding that the more money I have, the more stuff I have to do. I've had to hire two assistants, a nanny, an accountant, a lawyer.... I'm way busier now than I was when I didn't have a lot of disposable income. I guess if I wanted to do nothing, I could do that (nothing says I have to set up businesses or charity foundations or whatever), and I'm happy to hire people to do stuff for me, of course, but I have a lot more things to do now, no matter how many employees I have! Interesting. Speaking of employees, setting aside $1million (for ten years' worth of pay and bonuses) to hire a really good housekeeper who also cooks. I don't mind cooking, but it's not my favourite activity, and I'd be really happy to have someone else around to do some of it. And that still leaves me $17million. Good heavens. I'll put $5million into gold and silver bullion and $5m into savings/investment, and the other $7m I'm going to put into the charity foundation, who, I trust, has been handing it out to appropriate charities (I'm most interested in the arts, children's welfare, animal welfare, and education, though other charities can apply for a grant and we'll consider them, as well). Whew. Spending all this money is tiring. Idle rich. HAH! |

I'd love to keep playing / writing but I ran out of imagination / ideas / plans.... I guess I'll keep giving to my fav. Organizations / Charities while trying to find new and really deserving ones...I might even create my own...To help the last among the last of the world who are unjustly suffering inhumanly just to get by....Focusing esp. on children, women and old people. Still a drop in the ocean but still a drop making a difference for some. |

$16,000,000 DONATION DAY!!!!! $10 Mill is going to Equip and furnish the orphanage I am having rebuilt. No longer rejects of society, this is a place where I am intent on giving those that feel like they have/are nothing a chance to show their own worth. Kids from all over will want to come over to play with the orphans. A huge commercial kitchen, crafts department (with focus on indigenous culture), library, athletic area, computer + business rooms, landscaping with tonnes of edible plants to breed interest in agriculture, a rain water collection system, water filtration system, solar panels, generators (Landscaping includes a biomass system for generators), back up battery packs, and preschool play areas are just aspects the facilities. There is the furniture and other household items that are also included. My favourite aspect about living in Toronto is the Library system. My mom works for a resource centre for teachers. I have donated the rest of my amount to improve the technology and add more resource material that teachers can use to help facilitate the educating of the youth in my homeland. I know they will use it to buy books and other equipment. |

Wow. $16,000,000 today. Just over halfway to my Brewster's millions and I've already done so much! I am really feeling a lot of energy from this game! Feeling a lot more in the flow, and I received 2 checks in the mail today! Yay Ok, so $16,000,000. I guess I should get back to the center now that I've taken a few days off. I hire the best environmental design-build company I can find. They are based in London but they are the best! After going back and forth on the design (and this includes overhauling- in the most gentle way possible- the surrounding wilderness, to include trails, etc.) we decide on a plan that looks like heaven on earth! The place will be functional, yet really ethereal and magical. I can't believe I get to spend my life here! Wow. The price tag for the design firm is $5,000,000. The building materials, all enviro-sustainable, run around $6,000,000 (this place is going to be big, remember!). We have also decided to run an electric shuttle to and from town, and to implement a small-scale public transit system in the nearest little town. It's a whole system of transportation, all interconnected. This costs $5,000,000 to place the tracks, buy the buses and elex shuttle, plus there's a bike system and a few electric cars scattered about. We also have boats and silent e-friendly snow machines for the winter. My next plan is to have a high-speed train line implemented from the nearest major city, but that will need to wait until tomorrow. |

Today, $21million. I was looking at cruises. I've never been a big fan of cruises, really, but I did arrange one to New Zealand and then I saw there are some pretty interesting longer ones you can take. One I was looking at goes from Sydney all around the southern and western coasts of Australia (stopping in some interesting places along the way, of course), then up through southeast Asia and eventually ends in South Africa. It's 54 days or so (can't recall now the precise number), and you can just fly home from Capetown (which we'd probably do; 50+ days on a ship is long enough, I think I think I'll invite my parents-in-law to come on the trip with us, and we'd want to bring along our nanny (who can also do tutoring with the kids, since they'd most likely miss some school). Getting top class cabins, plus spending money for all the different ports of call, plus money to spend on the ship (meals and entertainment is all included, but there are some specialty restaurants and other activities that are not; may as well enjoy the time spent at sea as well as in port!), plus the airfare home, I'll budget, oh, $500,000 (honestly, it won't be that much, but we might drop some donations in various places along the way, like museums and possibly other deserving places). And I still have $20.5million to spend. I'll invest some more money in vintage and antique jewellery and in antiquities (legal ones, not black market stuff), and I think I'll have my PA find a good antique book agent who can get me some rare and interesting books (we're working on a two-storey library with a skylight for our dream house). I'll also arrange appropriate secure storage for these items until I can house them. I reckon I'll spend, oh, let's say $2.5million on collections today. And the other $18million... Well, I'm starting to understand why people like Bill Gates and Richard Branson and Dick Smith and George Harrison and other really rich people start really big projects to throw their money into. You can't keep up with it, otherwise. They start charity foundations (which I've done) and hire a bunch of people to do stuff like try to cure malaria or sort out the developing world or create a greener jet fuel or whatever. So, I've already got the charity foundation, but it's been small. I guess I'll hire a couple more people to work on that, and maybe we'll start some initiative, like funding green technologies, in development and also businesses that want to expand. We'll just make a division of the main charity fund to do that, and I can throw money at the problem all I want. So, let's see, salaries, some expanded office space (or a new office just for the greenwork group), probably hire some more people to work on the main charity fund group, plus a donation to kick start things. Let's say, oh, what the heck, $10million. Why not. Nice round number. And the green technologies thing is good because you can put a LOT of money into it. Developing new technology can be expensive, but if they succeed, the world as a whole will benefit. Personally, I'd love to see Australia become a kind of "green technology leader", and if the government won't put money into it, I will! Still have $8million today, of course. Hmmm.... $2million in each of the four trust funds for my kids will do it. I don't even know how much they've got now, but they're doing pretty well out of this. Good. EDIT: I had an afterthought and went to do some online research. The cost for this is trivial (I figure no more than about $50,000 in absolute total), so it can come from normal interest income, but I'm going to get a complete permanent dental implant, top and bottom. I've got some missing teeth and some teeth that I wouldn't miss (ha ha!), and I don't much like wearing dentures, even partial ones. They look and work okay, but they have drawbacks and disadvantages. So I'll get my PA to book the appointments and to drive me to them and home. Yeah, I'm gonna do it. |

I am supposed to be using this week for construction and payroll. But I mixed up the uses for last weeks amounts. Soooooo, who cares what order I do things in? Only me, myself and I. I also remember I am supposed to be working double time to meet my 30 day deadline. $17,000,000 With this money I closed and fully paid of the 2 pieces of vacant property I got. I still have $1.5 mill left over. I have set it aside to cover the tasks listed below. I have delegated the following tasks to my law teams and assistants. 1. Secure a commercial, residential and agricultural zoning bylaw for my building in downtown Toronto. This building is going to be a combination of 30% parking (to pay for everyday costs of the building), 35% green house/space, 20% residential (condo units for my friends and family), 5% manufacturing areas (to produce products made from the green house/space), 5% retail (to sell 0 mile products) and 5% (not including the exterior of the building) for sources energy production to keep costs of living low. 2. Get the building above designed for construction to start within 3 months (or ready to be built once zoning passes). There will have to be several professional teams needed as there are 5 different zones within 1 building. 3. Get another team to handle the property in the Bahamas. Find out the distance from the shore my water rights extend. I am pushing to see a TRUE green fishery established, it will be dedicated mostly to helping populate the level of all species but especially those on the decline with excess then being sold for profit. With so many acres it would be easy to keep it multizoned. 4. Find a someone who specializes in Caribbean permaculture to audit the land and then help design a low impact/high yield edible forest (with special focus on trees and fauna that take years to establish and are often over looked). This area also has to include wildlife. It is a highly efficient sustainable ecologically friendly community. 5. Employ an architect and a construction team that are capable of establishing a small town with the facilities to assist in maintaining the land and handing the production of all products that will come out of this area. They must also create 7 big residential buildings on 10 acres of land each, for every one of my grandparent’s children. 6. Have a law team to find a way in which I can grow hemp as one of the crops. Even if it means that I have to help push a law (What’s that saying, “want a business, create a law” I don’t care if I have to pay for a reasonable licensing fee). I want to see hemp plants used for fiber in the construction (based on the fact that the longer the string, the stronger the building product) and more hemp plants with high cbn and cbd levels for medicinal products. $18,000,000 ARGHH! The joys! I am already being asked to increase several budgets to bring things to my standards. You would think that an average $1 mill per unit (the smallest being a 1 bed room condo) would exceed expectations! *shakes my head* So I have doubled the budget for the redesign of my existing units. 65% should cover the construction and landscaping costs. Lauren hasn’t requested anything but I have established the other 35% to cover any other expenses that may pop up. That leaves me $3 mill. I was asked how we will travel to and from these properties. So, with $2 Mill I buy 17 assorted cars. They range from small subcompact cars like fiat 500 to the Mercedes Benz GL plus a few e-bikes. These are just to keep at the various properties I have plus my parents and in-laws. I have my assistant arrange to create a package for me, showcasing which cars would best suit each property. This should cover all taxes also (it’s 70% in the Bahamas :O) $1 Mill left. I booked for the redesign of my parents places. I give my dad $250,000 for his place. My mom says she doesn’t like her place and wants to move. “What’s the use of putting all this nice new furniture in my rundown rental?” she says. I simply give her $500,000 to find a place of her own until my new building is built. I told her if she buys, she will need to furnish it from that (but I still set aside an extra $100,000 just in case). I also tell her that that since I have already paid for 1.25 years of rent at this place, she can pick which family member she would to take over her lease. PHEW! After a day like today I need to unwind. With my last $150,000 I call a limo to pick up my 6 friends along with my boyfriend and myself. We are off to the Windsor Arms hotel for a swim, steam, diner and maybe more. The is a bottle of GLENFIDDICH 50 YEARS OLD SPEYSIDE SINGLE MALT, 2 bottles of Krug 1995 Brut Blanc de Noirs Clos d'Ambonnay, and 2 1986 Chateau Margaux waiting for us. Yes, we plan on drinking it all. I’ve thrown in an extra $15,000 as a request to be as secluded as possible and have also booked 4 rooms including breakfast for recovery. What a day. what a day!
