Need a Shift from Apathy to Passion
Passion drove me to attend a degree program. But this semester I feel that I've lost touch with my passion, and the reasons are that some of my courses are not interesting to me and that the academic goals that I've set for this semester are not inspiring.
Online dating hasn't bore much fruit either. I got to know a few nice guys, but I don't feel a connection with most of them (one sounded devoid of passion for life over the phone). On the other hand, I had the most wonderful date with one guy (I thought that he could be my soulmate), and we briefly talked about going on another date. But recently he's been too busy to call me back (yes, I know, red flag!).
Anyway, I can't help but feel that my general dissatisfaction with and apathy towards my coursework and academic path are manifesting in my dating life as well. I have deadlines coming up for course papers and external fellowship application, and I still can't shake this feeling of apathy (I also detect panic underneath this apathy). Having passion is important to getting through school, and I am most concerned (okay, I am not totally apathetic) about getting my passion back.
I am thinking about trying Steve's technique to manifest more passion in my life and a life partner who is my soul mate and is willing to spend time to get to know me.
Anybody here has any other suggestions on what else I can try? Thank you for your time.
