Every time put out an intention I feel fear of not getting it. This usually backfires and does nothing or makes the situation worse. Recently I gave up on trying to manifest anything, but I'd really like to develop this skill. Any tips would be greatly appreciated PS. Have you ever experienced this? How did you overcome it? |

If you're unsure how to go about it, just intend to do it, and see what happens. Various methods and means will come your way, and you can use whatever suits you best. One way to do it would be to go ahead and try manifesting something you want once again. Then, when the fears and other negative beliefs come up, don't turn away or give in to them--look at them. Bring them up into the bright light of consciousness where you can really see them in detail. Write them down. Try to be as specific as possible. Some of the things you drag into the light may sound incredibly stupid, but admit them and write them down anyway--because those stupid things are holding you back. And then go through the things you've written and ask of each one, "Is this really true?" For some of them, the answer will be obvious, and you saw how false they were even as you were writing them--they turned out to be like the monsters in your closet that disappeared once the light came on. For others, you may need to think on them for a while, taking them apart, then looking for evidence against them so you can write a new, more positive belief to replace the negative one. For example, I used to carry around the ideas that nothing I wanted came to me easily, that the things I did get were never exactly what I asked for, and that even lousy things came with all sorts of strings attached. Most of my childhood experiences with receiving things I'd asked for (especially at Christmas!) supported this belief, and when I first started experimenting with I-M my results reflected it. So I had to look back and find the exceptional moments--when I asked for something and got it easily, when I got exactly what I wanted, when I was given things freely with no strings attached. That those moments existed at all, even in small ways, was evidence that getting what I wanted easily and without heavy obligation was possible for me. And once I knew that was at least possible, I could then create more of those moments. Every time you feel fear, doubt, or anxiety over an intention, that's pointing to subconscious blocks that need to be cleared. Work on those, and things will get much, much easier--and not just for the specific intention you've set, but on every level of your life. | |
