Did you mention your gender prior to now? Either way, your issue is that you don't know how to process emotions properly and you hold a weak will. Negative events in themselves should not discourage you, or prove that LOA is nonsense.

Positive thinking is about sustaining good thoughts/feelings, learning how to manage and lessen negative emotions.

LOA *is* about altering your insides. It's not about bullsh!tting yourself into believing everything is okay when it isn't. It's about seeing the good in what's not okay, and making something better happen, and learning lessons from the past. It's not the cosmic bellhop in the sky.

The PD aspect is way, way more important than LOA, in my opinion.

The point is maybe you need to take your own advice before telling other people what they should do.

You wanted to break some dudes legs as payback and now you are acting like the wise man on the hill telling someone else that ♥♥♥♥ happens, get over it. Can you see the hypocrisy there?

That's not comparable to my scenario.

How I interpret her situation is that she feels good and has a good vibration with the Universe, but when a negative situation happens it sets back her LOA practice. My point is that, as with practically all literature in the psychological profession on positive thinking, negative emotions can and should be experienced but be tempered, managed and overcome.

It was as if a light had gone on: "Aha! This doesn't suck! Awesome!" And I found myself really getting into that feeling of being happy about that.

When you do that, you'll start thinking of other things to be happy about. It's like a magnet. From being happy about the coffee pot, and enjoying peace and quiet while I drank my coffee, I realized that I was happy to live by myself, without roommates. Yes, my apartment was tiny and in a bad neighborhood, and I couldn't afford to move, but it was all mine. I didn't have roommate drama. I could buy whatever food I wanted, put it in the fridge, and nobody was going to eat it. I could come home, shut the door, and not have to talk to anybody or deal with their stuff until I went to work the next day.

I second this 100%. Replace the coffee pot with a tea pot and it's me.

Good story and good insight. Very powerful.

Moreover, hypocrisy doesn't exist in the human condition.

Lol. To the op, i know how it feels to be a loner but being social starts with appreciating other people enough to engage them first. There have got tobe some people around u that are up ur alley focuse on attracting them. Also, ignore jaded people. Happiness is a gift that u have tofind within urself and when u do, u give others the courage to feel happy too. Bitterness is nonsense. Dont give in to other peoples nonsenseull just attrwct more of it. ur bullies have been taught meaness so tell them a better wayby being bigger. Someone is really hurting them emotionally otherwise they would never want to degrade another. Read a book called personal mastery. It will explain how to get the treatment u want by developing that qualitywithin and projecting it. Think of it like a really strict teacher who demands respect and doesnt accept a drop of nonsense in her class. On sight you get the message, without her saying a word.
why? Personal mastery.
