Turning Your Nah-Ahs into Uh-Huhs!

I tend to be overly logical. Historically, I have had a hard time believing in outcomes, if I could not imagine "how" they would manifest. I now appreciate the fact that such insistence on knowing how a manifestation might occur simply pushes it farther away.

To break my addiction to knowing "how" my manifestations might logically arrive, I just focus on how wrong I have been in life about so many things! I think of the many, many, many times when I thought I had a scenario predicated as a "no way," when it turned out to be a "yes way." That flip of mindset really opens me up to the possibilities of manifesting my dreams. This mind-flip causes me to turn nah-ahs turned into uh-huhs.

Examples: I could never buy a house (wrong!); Bush 1 would win re-election (wrong!); Bush 2 would lose election (wrong!); I probably won't have a kid (wrong on the first try!); I wouldn't get a promotion I deserved (wrong!);and a million simpler examples. Given our infallibility when predicting outcomes, why bother with the "hows"?

What are examples of how you have turned your Na-Ahs into Uh-Huhs, and does flipping your mindset in this regard help you believe in your big dreams? Please share!

I think I am going to look for ways to make this shift going forward. I like this topic.

I am the same way. I am always being told I "over think" everything and I believe it definitely affects my manifestations!!!

So when you say you focus on how wrong you have been in life are you saying basically how you were not ever wrong to begin with? Also any more tips/advice anyone has on us "over thinkers" and how we can overcome constantly thinking about the how and I guess maybe some help on the "receiving" process since that seems to be the section of the manifestations that I am always thinking the "how" on, would be GREATLY appreciated.

I just keep yo-yoing up and down, one day nothing can get to me or bother me and the next I get crazy pissed if one minuscule negative event happens and its hard for me to get back in a positive attracting mood.

It's a good way to go. Think about science. We hear about a scientific breakthrough--for example, we hear about a stem-cell cure for heart disease. We hear that these miraculous, stem-cells can be cultured from the fat cells stored in our body. We don't bother with the "hows" of the amazing science, unless we're in a geeky mood and want to read the article about it. Yet, we have so much FAITH in the truth of science because we have given it so much credit for trustworthiness over the years. Our faith in science has built up to become a granite mountain.

That's often the light in which we hold our own beliefs. We have lived with ourselves for so long, we implicitly believe that we are RIGHT in our opinions, including predictions of future outcomes. Even for uncertain outcomes, we are certain that they are uncertain (going against the LoA, which says our desires are instantly created, but may take time to manifest in our particular corner of reality). So, in order to undermine this false "certainty," which only blocks the manifestation, we must confess that we are too "sure" for our own good. That is where doing the mind-flip does a great job. Clearly focusing on our historical fallibility can soften up even the hardened "logical" thinker.

We can flip it around and think: "I am wrong to believe that, unless I know how things will happen, they cannot." Turning the tables here, can help us get the heck out of the way and let the Universe do its job of taking care of the "hows."

We Only Insist On Knowing How When We Think We Control the "how"

I just keep yo-yoing up and down, one day nothing can get to me or bother me and the next I get crazy pissed if one minuscule negative event happens and its hard for me to get back in a positive attracting mood.

Focusing on how wrong I have been in life, is not to underscore how I was not ever wrong to begin with. Instead, it works like this for me. I "insist" on knowing "how" some event will occur, in order to evaluate whether I will invest my emotions in the outcome. If I cannot see "how" something will occur, I lower my expectations. Lowered expectations can block manifestations.

Here, is a simple example. When I was in junior highschool, back in the Stone Age, I used to have my crushes on certain girls. If I thought, "there is no way she would like me, she is too pretty," then that is an example of how I could not see the "how" of my desire coming true. So, when not seeing a "how," I would not even bother trying to pursue her, nor would I invest any emotion in the matter. Worse yet, I would confirm as a "certainty" that it could not occur. And guess what? It could not occur, under such circumstances of belief.

So, when trying to do Intentional Manifestations and using the tool of visualization, I want to make sure that I'm not so sure it couldn't happen. In my example, it would work like this:

Person A wants to ask Person B out on a date. Person A is besieged by thoughts like, "Person B won't like me because of _____________ [fill in the reason.]" Person A goes through the effort of visualizing, but has the nagging subconscious disbelief, all along ("Person B won't like me because of ..."). This nagging doubt will block the manifestation from occurring.

So to turn a not-ah, into an uh-huh, Person A should focus on how, historically, Person A's ability to predict (on other matters) has been uneven--at best. Then Person A should focus on examples of where Person A was flat wrong. E.g., Person A would think "I was wrong about X, Y, Z..." and then Person A would really feel how it felt upon registering the fact that he or she was wrong. (Recognition of being wrong definitely feels a certain way--it has a feeling--a tinge of embarassment and vulnerability and confusion.)

Then, Person A would superimpose that feeling onto the current belief at issue (e.g., that Person B wouldn't like Person A). Repeat as necessary, until Person A is no longer "certain" that Person B won't like person A.

The bottom line: we only insist on knowing "how" our manifestations will occur when think we control the "hows." But we don't control the "hows"; the Universe does. So, if we don't believe we control the "hows" then we soften up and let the Universe do its thing. One way to soften up our need to control the "how" is to realize that we can't reliably predict all outcomes, and that it is not efficient to worry about the "hows." This is hard for a logical person to do because logical people are overly fixated on their perceived ability to predict outcomes. But they can't. This mind-flip can work wonders.
