LOA and the broad social/economic "reality"

I have no trouble grasping that a person can (via synchronicities) have excellent good fortune even during "hard times".

But what about this: The overall economic, social, and policy reality in your country goes to cr*p. (Anyone been to Ireland, Greece, or Turkey lately?)

But even in North America, maybe there are bigger soup kitchens, "tent cities" visible in your town or city, discouraged news reports. Maybe you can ignore all these things (or just don't see them) - maybe your own luck is good. But your kids are going to school with other kids, and out of 25 or so kids in your son or daughter's class, many of the kids begin to display and express the problems that they are feeling in the "hard times" the society as a whole seems to be going through. So statements and questions come to you via your kids.

Would this be an overarching reality that does, then, affect your reality?

I'm interested in your points of view on this.
