Hi all. I want to know that how can one remove negative programming from the mind and fill it with positive ones. As we all know that people around us keep saying negative and bad things about us since our childhood and we think we are actually like that and we take those things as true. Some negative things have heavily impacted my life in negative manner and I continue to suffer because of that. So I think before filling my mind with positive suggestions I need detoxification affirmations to cleanse my mind of this thought poison. So please suggest me some affirmation statements and visualizations to achieve this. Thanks a lot.

hi mate, when ever you are thinking about something negative say to yourself cancel and think about something else. after a while your mind will start to do it automatically. you can also add affirmations to it like "cancel thats not like me" or "cancel i dont think like that" i hope this helps |

I agree with the above post - but would add something like 'my thoughts are not me' to remind yourself that when you hear something negative about yourself and think it that it is not YOU. Also, 'I love myself' and 'I love others' as well as 'I accept myself.'

"Extinction" as it's called is a difficult process especially if it becomes internally habitual. However if you reinforce another habit enough it can overwhelm your old habit. A regiment of both positive affirmations and visualizations can help. But it has to be consistent, constant, and unquestioned. |

A good book on this is "Emotional clearing" , isbn 0-9629295-0-6 . Its methods are basic forms of yoga, deep breathing , and excepting . A tec. that I am using rite now is to do deep breathing for a few minutes , ask my higher self to fill a certain thing , lets say my belief that I dont deserve to have what what I want , with white light and keep breathing until its all gone . desert rat
