The author of an audio book I am listening to states that, in order to manifest an intended result under the LOA, one must take some physical action in the general direction of the affirmation. However, others appear to present the LOA as a more magical principle--as if simply visualizing the intended result in its completed state were enough to manifest it, without taking physical-world action. So, for the latter method (no action required), one could manifest outrageous results while sitting on the couch all day long and taking no physical action toward accomplishing the goal. That can't be right, can it? Don't you all think that manifesting requires some physical action in the world? It seems that people are all over the map on this one. What do you think? |

Hi Balbrae This topic has been discussed many times in this forum. Of course you need to take physical action in the direction of the affirmation, but what action are we talking about? The one that makes you struggle or the one that is easy and inspired? For instance, if you want to manifest a new job opportunity you can choose two possible directions: 1. Send lots of CV's/resumes and look desperately for vacancies etc. 2. Let the Universe to take care of it. In the latter case, you simply visualize/feel you desire as if you already have it. You will receive signals and opportunities such as: - Be at the right place at the right time. - Meet new people who could bring you into contact with other people with hiring power. - Hear of a perfect job opportunity by chance. - And so on... So, as you can see, in this case you need to take action, but it's easier and less forced. You just let the Universe to lead you to your desire in an inspired way. I hope this clarifies your doubts Last edited by Rubns; 10-02-2011 at 02:01 AM. Reason: typo |

Your example is quite eerie because it describes exactly what happened to me in back in 1993. I sent out a billion resumes and nada. Then, a friend of a friend's girlfriend gave us a quick phone call one morning, having just heard that day (through my friend's girlfriend) that I was looking for a job. Her firm was finishing up job interviews that day (which I didn't know about). I was frantically urged to call the office right away and express an interest in being interviewed. So I did--in the nick of time. I was interviewed later that same day--after they had already settled on another job applicant! I came in at the 11th hour and got the job, instead. It all happened so quickly, and at the time, I was doing a lot of visualization to that effect. Funny coincidence to the story the Universe just told through you, as an example in answer to my question. Hah. | |
