Are you leaving out this important part in the manifestation process? Hey everyone, One of the things I discovered during my manifesting process is that I was forgetting to do one of the most important things in manifesting what I want. The missing thing is to GIVE THANKS FOR IT! Even if you have not received your desire. Even if you cannot see it or do not know HOW it is going to manifest. Give thanks for the answer and the happy, rich, perfect solution long before you receive it and do this every day. What you want is on the way and it will manifest under divine timing and in the perfect ways! The universe/God knows what you want even before you ask for it and the way out has already been prepared - along with any answers or solutions you need. NOTHING is withheld from us. WE hold back our good and the answers and solutions with our lack of faith and words we speak and think. Our positive beliefs and positive thoughts, actions and beliefs can speed up the manifestation of anything we want. Our only job is to have faith, visualize it as already occuring in your life, prepare to receive it (pretend you already have it), do affirmations and/or mbo's affirming it into reality (the spoken word carries an amazing amount of manifestation power! Your words can hurt, kill, destroy, build up and bring down people and manifest your desires or push them away). Give thanks for it and have gratitude for everything that is currently in your life (esp the things you want to be freed from). Also, releasing any resentment or unforgiveness towards yourself or others that you want to be freed from will also release any blocks and speed up the process. I have also found calling forth AA Michael and AA Raphael to be an immense help in releasing all my blocks and cutting cords to toxic people and old conditions from my past, etc. I have called on AA Michael so much lately that I actually saw a glimpse of him the other night. I have never seen an angel before so this was very interesting. I thought it was my imagination until my friends pet perked up, got scared and bolted out of the room the minute I saw AA Michael. I think he is living in my apt now! lol! I think he got tired of me calling him all the time and he thought he would just come live with me. Now if he would just pay some of the rent! lol! :) Also, I have been inspired to re-read the whole CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD - VOLUME 1-3 by Neale Donald Walsch and here is the amazon link for not just this book, but other books by this author related to the conversations with god series Amazon.com: conversations with god book 1 2 3: Books On page 11 of the first volume - Neale asks God: "Does that mean I cannot ask for anything I want? Are you saying that praying for something actually pushes it away from us? God then replies: This is a question which has been asked thruought the ages - and has been answered whenever it has been asked. Yet you have not heard the answer, or will not believe it. The question is answered again (God is very patient with all of us! lol! :)) in todays terms, and todays language thusly: You will not have that for which you ask, nor can you have anything you want. This is because your very request is a statement of lack and your saying you want a thing only works to produce that precise experience - wanting - in your reality. I bolded this because I think this is such an important paragraph that a lot of us (myself included) tend to forget! THE CORRECT PRAYER is therefore NEVER a prayer of supplication, but a prayer of gratitude (now I know why many of my prayers go on for years and not get answered because I keep ASKING). When you thank God in ADVANCE for that which you choose to experience in your reality, you, in effect, acknowledge that it is there .... in effect. Thankfulness is thus the MOST POWERFUL statement to God; an affirmation that even before you ask, I have answered! Therefore NEVER supplicate - Appreciate! (my words: and have gratitude and give thanks for what God has already given you - for all your past, present and future good) This is really an amazing 3 part series (I think God inspired me to start this thread! lol!) about God and his role in our lives and his role and our role in the whole manifestation process. Your views on God and the way he/she works in our lives will really be changed when you read this book. You will come to see God as a very kind, loving entity who wants people to succeed, be happy and be rich. God is NOT the vengeful God most religions would have you believe. You also do NOT need to earn God's love or approval to receive answers to your prayers as many religions would have you believe - you are perfect just the way you are! I totally believe everything I learned in church contributed on some level to my unworthiness, undeserving and not loving and approving of myself issues. I still remember the lutheran religion telling me that if I did not finish communion I would be going straight to hell. You DON'T tell that to a little kid! Well, I guess I will be going to hell because I found communion boring and I never finished it! lol! The conversations with god series really allowed me to have a greater love and understanding of God and to help release a lot of my old beliefs about God and I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this entire series to everyone! |
Thank you very much! You have in LoA more than I've ever been helped before! It is what I have been leaving out. Again, thank you! |

Interestingly, I got inspired to go to my closet and pull volume 1 of the conversations with god series and then turned to page 11 and right there was exactly what God was telling me in my mind! I think God speaks to us all the time thru our thoughts but many times we think it is our imagination and don't pay attention. So seeing this in a book I had forgotten about solidified my answer that the thoughts coming into my mind are NOT my imagination - but God and my angels speaking directly to me. |
i love this. I am so glad you shared it. Being in the state of gratitude helps put me in the proper feeling. The concept of being in the right feeling has been strongly emphasized in this forum lately and today I needed your reminder. Having never heard of the author I feel doubly blessed to learn of yet another source to keep me in the right frame of mind. |
Mallie - I was just thinking about you yesterday hoping everything was well. I haven't seen you on here lately. :) Your post makes a lot of sense. By asking you are lacking but by showing gratitude you are demonstrating having received. Now it's time to put it to practice! |
mallie, Another great post! And this is such an important one, about thanking God beforehand. I rememeber when I first read this in the CWG books, it had a strange effect on me, I didn't know what to think, then I remembered that the way I learned to pray was taught by the church...and I was just following along, as everyone else does. I understand what God means, now to thank Him in advance and in turn KNOW what you're asking for is already there. That state of knowing is so important, also when I use this method of Thanking God, I move into a more relaxed and relieved state of mind... so I could see the "magic" behind it. The CWG books I can't recommend enough, those books really moved me at very deep levels and I constantly go back and re-read them. |

Hey sandstone, Good to hear from you! How are those orin and daben mp3's going? I am actually ordering 3 more today on love. Yes, I have kinda been missing in action! lol! I love this forum and talking to everyone, but I was finding it was taking a lot of my time and then I wasn't doing as much visualizing, affirm, praying, etc and I thought "ok I need to get my priorities straight and not spend as much time on this forum or I will be 90 and still trying to manifest what I want! lol! :)) So I will probably not be as active on the forum as I used to be. I will come on and post new threads when I feel inspired (like in the past 2 days now I started 3 new threads) to but I really need to buckle down and focus on getting out of my situation. I feel a lot more pressure since it is almost the end of the year! Sandstone, where did this year goooo!!! It feels like I just celebrated christmas and now on QVC they are starting the 90 day countdown! Can you believe this!! Ok, so I feel a lot more pressure around this time of year (esp since I turn a year older in dec!) to get things done and not dawdle so much. So I will be around just not as much as I used to - now if we could just compress 72 hrs into 24 or not need sleep that would really help! lol!! :) Quote:
Glad you enjoyed my thread! :) Hope you are doing well and succeeding in your life! |

You are so right about the connection between manifestation and gratitude. Until I was introduced to the law of manifestation (which was only three days ago), I noticed a strong link between happiness and gratitude. I guess manifestation is one step further. As for an angel living inside your house, I am not that convinced yet to come even close to imagining a similar thing happen with me. |

Your angels and archangels do desire to work with you as well. If you are interested in learning more about them - here is a thread started by angelpsychic and it has a huge resource of everything angel: books, cd's, oracle cards, candle manifesting kit, etc and here is the link http://www.stevepavlina.com/forums/p...endations.html |
Living our Thanks Mallie, it was so gratifying to see your post about giving thanks. I've found that it is the FASTEST way to convert inner intentions and desires into actuality, especially when one stops to consider that our being able TO pray, or our being able TO give thanks even occurs AT ALL. Without God, Who is Life, Itself, could we do either ? Sometimes what we ask for has been right under our noses all the while. Or sometimes it takes a change in perspective to attain that which we think is beyond our grasp, though it may really be right at our fingertips (when we are ready to see it). "When you pray believe that what you have asked is yours. It is done unto you as you believe." I've found that it helps me to substitute the word "KNOW" for "believe". Why ? Because it's not a matter of "if" our prayers are answered. It's a matter of "when" we are ready to accept that which has always been ours. The solutions we seek PRECEDE our need...exactly like the availability of air (answered prayer) precedes our need to breath it (prayer request). Your post reminded me that however our answers come, we can give thanks in as many different ways as there are ideas in our heads, including LIVING our thanks, as a gift that KEEPS ON GIVING back.....in a life-long "Thank You", freely given.... .....to the One who created both air and our ability to breathe (or to give thanks, or to pray). I thank you for reminding me of the importance of breathing gratitude into the life of my prayers... |

Thanks for your post! You also reminded me of a saying even from Jesus and that is "Whatsoever ye ask for believing - ye shall receive." Gratitude helps to pull the I can't have it or or I don't have it in my life into a more accepting attitude. Remember, God can only do for us what he can do thru us - meaning thru our thoughts and beliefs. There is another saying, "It is the fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom and it should be your good pleasure to receive it. We can receive it by focusing on gratitude, positive beliefs and thoughts that what we want is possible to have. |
Thanks for this timely reminder! |
Good post. Giving thanks is essential even when you get something else. Be always thankful and positive mindset. Keep in mind thou, LoA leaves out a great deal from the original, ancient, hermetic thought process but that is a common malady of all "old-wine-new-bottle" spiritual movements/new-found gurus. Conversation with God also has the same problem I outlined above with LoA, you are far better reading the ancient texts, or at least go back to 19th century authors who better researched and communicated these ideas. Here is a great reading list for this; it actually includes certain contemporary authors but none of the pop-spiritual stuff this boards so loves. Reading these books is not easy nor trivial. |
This is my first post on these boards, been skimming through them for a few days and really like a lot of the threads I see. I'm a usual over at davidicke.com but I like a lot of whats going on here. So with my first post, I want to say hi and that I really appreciated the OP comment about being thankful for manifestation and LOA. Its one component I NEVER thought about nor have done! So since yesterday, I have been thankful for what I have and what I haven't received it so my manifestation and LOA desires will manifest faster. I've been manifesting thoughts of being more financial well off, to get my business going and to write my ebook I am in the process of working on. So if anyone wants to send me some positive thoughts, i'd appreciate it! Really working hard at it!!:d |

Yes, its so important to be greatful! This reminds me of something I read a while ago that I want to share with you. The author of the site is talking about how the process of attraction can work. I found it really interesting and true to my experience. She basically says we get what we want and of it we get whats closest around. Heres the link if your interested in reading it. I highly recommend this site if LOA isnt working. It's really helped me. You attract whats closest to You You Attract What Is Closest To You! - Your Cosmic Power The Universe has jokes. I thought the title was ironically funny:) The Universe has Jokes: Be Careful About Your Attitude and Thoughts - Your Cosmic Power |

Have you seen Gregg Braden’s video on the “The Lost Mode of Prayer,” where 3 Chinese health workers gather around a patient and focus their energy on a 3-inch tumor while chanting, “it is done.” The tumor disappears in 3-minutes of real time on the ultrasound. Braden says this is actually "prayer." |

I wish to focus on a fine distinction here because I don’t believe that not having a particular thing, and wanting it necessarily has to imply a feeling of “lack.”—with the emphasis on “feeling.” This is a distinction I make and is not evident in your quote; to me "Lacking" something is one thing, "feeling" you lack something is quite another. We all "lack" things we don't even care about. Apparently Neale thinks these things are meaningless until we decide we "want" them. I wanted a particular vehicle and "intended" it, for example, applying my manifesting powers as I saw them at the time. I already had a fine vehicle. I just wanted the particular vehicle I bought. It was all ego. I could have bought an exceptional vehicle for half the price. But my ego wanted me to buy the top vehicle, and I considered nothing else. Still, there wasn’t much emotion or excitement involved. There was neither a “feeling of lack” or “lack” involved unless one wants to say, “I didn’t have the vehicle, therefore, I ‘lacked’ it.” “I owned that vehicle in my mind before I even bought it.”—which, buy the way, took a bit of the fun and excitement out of buying it. Now, perhaps, as a youngster I could have gotten emotionally fixated on a 1965 Pontiac GTO and believed I really “needed” that GTO for all the reasons young men needed GTO’s in 1965—usually self-indulgence to make them feel like someone they wanted to be, but did not need to be. The question is whether this kind of “wanting” is okay, or an expression of “lack?” Is a youngster's “need” to buy the chosen vehicle any more or any less ego driven than my purchase? Is not the amount of relative emotion expressed in each purchase merely a matter of age difference? Does it matter if the thing wanted, for lack of a better term, is an “addition to one’s stature” or merely bringing someone’s head, which is metaphorically “under water, above water?” Buying the GTO probably is not from a position of lack, unless, perhaps, one believes it is because, for example, their closest six friends all have a new GTO and they are driving an old Rambler and thus, they feel their value is “less than” their friends. Why not look at material objects in this reality as “chess pieces” in a chess game. If I want your pawn, I just take it. It is part of the game. There is no emotion involved. Whether I “lacked” your pawn before I took it is not relevant to me, nor do I have to make it relevant. As long as I give no emotion to a “feeling of lack,” why can I not make my own rule here. It is just a game, or as comedian Bill Hicks would say, “it [life] is just a ride.” |
