Default Boredom?

THERE IS ANOTHER SERIOUS PROBLEM I HAVE OF GETTING “BORED”. I don’t know how to deal with it. I am feared of this boredom and always want to escape from this feeling of boredom and that’s why on holidays I watches TV for ****ing whole day even if it is not good program or also in order to avoid this boredom I started eating even I am not hungry at all...

any inputs or how do you deal with this situations...

Thanks...

Boredom is a symptom. Its usually a symptom of depression (mild) and/or anger directed at yourself. It doesn't have a whole lot to do with what is going on in your environment (unless you are locked in a jail cell or something).

After all, look at a young child. Everything is interesting to them. They don't have to be "doing" anything more than just living.

Something is blocking you from finding life interesting.

One thing you can do is look at boredom as the beginning of something wonderful, a door that is about to be opened into something new, if you don't resist the feeling. My artist friend says boredom is the secret door. If you go through boredom then you get to the really brilliant things.

Try sitting with boredom instead of trying to fix it, and wait. At the very least you will be learning to tolerate boredom instead of resisting it, and you will also be learning to sit with just yourself.

@lycan: - I watches TV for the whole day though I am not that much interested in watching it. Later on at the end of the day I regret and feeling of guilts cames in my mind about I have not done anything useful today and just wasted the whole day......after knowing this, after realizing this, again I will continue to do the same thing again and again..I dont know why?

I will watch TV.....then regrets ..again watches TV again regrets.....this goes on.....and on and on....I am very much tired of this cycle....

ANyone form this forum has been gone through this kind of mental situation if yes then how you have overcome this problem? any inputs?

Thanks and Regards.

Find something that you love, then do that thing. This is also the recipe to an inspired, joyful life.

Several of us have shared that you find something (personally rewarding) that you LOVE doing, and do more of these things. -

Doing so, will leave absolutely no time time for being 'bored'.
