Default Luck

Do you believe in luck?

I just had a conversation with two family members who certainly believe in luck - and that such superstars such as Justin Beiber got lucky, or 'knew someone' etc.

I tend to think that you make you're own luck through hard work.

What are your thoughts?

Luck is a state of mind, hard work has nothing to do with it. But I understand where you're coming from when you speak of Justin. You might be confusing someone who's super focused on their goals and put's in unreal amounts of time to achieve them....that's not luck by the way.

Try an experiment sometime, keep repeating the sentence "I feel lucky"... over and over, make it your mantra for a day or two, or maybe a week... and watch as the Universe/God/Source, bring you all sorts of lucky things, circumstances, people.....it's a fun experiment, I've done this before and it always works. Just don't try to force it, keep it playful, as if you are playing a game... then forget about it and watch things happen!

Luck is very very real. There's a certain class of economic good called "positional goods" which derive their value from their inherent scarcity. For example, not everybody can have a penthouse apartment. By definition, a penthouse apartment requires many many apartments to be under it.

So to capture one of these goods, you have to be lucky. Now, through careful application of the Law of Attraction, you can do anything you want in life. But to capture one of these positional goods, you may have to wait, years even, patiently taking action to position yourself, for a good opportunity to pop up.

The good thing is, the vast majority of desires can be fulfilled in life without involving these arbitrarily rare circumstances. If you want to be Justin Bieber, well, you can have a certain amount of success which can satisfy you, if you're not adamant about having that MTV lifestyle. Minor celebrity is often much cooler than the real thing. Most people, honestly would not want the hassles that real celebrity brings them. Plenty of people burn out of that lifestyle. They don't call it "15 minutes" for nothing.

Luck or what we perceive as Luck ( something inexplicable acting more or less intensely in our favor) undisputably exists. We can see that in every day's life facts....
Just to name an example ( but there are many).... A very few "lucky" ones win the Lottery... It might be more than one Winner on some jackpots but other times it gets only to one particular Person .
Here in Italy last year one single person won EUR 178 Million Superenalotto Jackpot ( no taxes due here in Italy... They get to keep it all) and if I recall right, he/she won with a basic game card (EUR1.00) with no costly systems involved .... I call that "Luck"

Oh, interesting. I have personal experience in this domain.

Yes. I believe in luck.

Luck can be enhanced through the use of consistent and concentrated mind-thinking, heart-feeling and soul-knowing.

Mind-thinking: Think "I'm lucky". Visualize yourself being lucky.
Heart-feeling: Feel lucky. Vibe luckiness. Be luck itself.
Soul-knowing: Know that you are lucky. Then decide to be even luckier.

The level of soul-knowingness is what determines how lucky you will be.

I've been vibing, thinking, saying, feeling and knowing for 5 years the energy of "I'm lucky". I convinced myself so throughly that all my friends also started believing I was lucky. When they affirmed it, I would confirm it for them. And of course I would get lucky everytime we played games, etc.

In fact, I would often walk into situations where the chance of winning was 1/20 or something, and I would say something like: "Oh, look, a situation that requires luck. Well, we already know who's going to win, right? " And I would win after having said such a bold statement.

Five years into this luck manifesting, and, well, my life is filled with things that fall out of the clear blue sky onto my feet.

In my experience, this theme of luck is very closely related to the theme of gratitude. If you're simply grateful for getting X, Y or Z in your life, it multiplies in your life. It grows, expands, often very quickly.

Of course if you do decide to be lucky, it changes you as a person, just like any belief.

Consequences of knowing you are lucky, everywhere, all the time, with no exceptions:
  • You will spend a signficant portion of your day, every day, just being grateful for what you have and how incredibly lucky you are. This is just the natural loop that every belief has. It self-reinforces itself. You will be forced to notice how lucky you are and the energy of luck will just get stronger and stronger over time.
  • There are no negative events for the person who believes he is lucky, everywhere, all the time, with no exceptions. Your perception of negative events is that they are there to help you. Over time, negative stuff evaporates from your life, and everything just keeps getting better and better.
  • Lucky also means you will have an happy-go-lucky attitude and you don't really worry about anything. Other positive traits also become more dominant in you.
There's an interesting consequence to being extremely lucky, everywhere, all the time, with no exceptions: You may get lazy because the force of luck just gives you whatever you need, but if this actually makes your life worse, then luck will intervine to make you non-lazy for your own good.

Knowing you're lucky is great, and it evaporates many, many fears.

I believe it luck. I am very lucky, extremely lucky. Of course I consider smaller and larger things to be lucky. Getting parking spaces easily, knowing what I need next, not waiting in lines, people being kind, days that are relaxing where I sometimes feel like I'm a content cat among humans, money there when I need it for something I choose, etc

I have a broad scope of luck which makes it easier to have more lucky things happen to me. Of course luck is also a belief, and I figure believing I'm lucky and seeing evidence of it in everything only makes me even luckier and more appreciative of all those lucky things.

It's all based on a belief system that I have chosen to help me create the best life possible.

There is no luck and nothing "just happens". If you believe you are "lucky", GOOD things will start happening to you and conversely if you think your luck is terrible it will also be so...
Not all is hard work as some perceive it....
...IMHO - it is a combo of your karmic past, your thoughts and awareness, mental powers, WILL and co-operative synchronicity. This applies to bi-directionally to good and bad things...
