Hey everyone, I was thinking of going in for some reiki due to my depression. All these loa books talk about needing to be happy all the time to raise your vibration and that's very difficult with depression! I have noticed that by eliminating wheat and gluten from my diet that some of the depression has lifted ( you have to go wheat free/gluten free for 6 weeks to get it out of your system and start to heal your gut b4 you know if it works or not) I know a lot of my depression comes from unresolved issues but it's like catch 22 - you need to be in a good mood to get your issues resolved but since I am not getting them resolved it makes me kinda depressed. Have any of you tried reiki for depression and/or to change your energy to help with manifestation? If so, how many sessions did you go to before seeing results with depression and/or manifesting. One of my friends friends had a reiki session and was told to be very careful with her words cuz reiki can raise your vibration and make your words carry more manifesting power. keep in mind, the main reason I am going is to help lift the depression but any added side effects ( like great manifesting power would be great!) Also, does anyone know what the difference between an aura cleansing and a reiki session? Or is there a difference? Last edited by karn; 07-19-2011 at 10:48 AM. |

If this is the case the two work well together. I think that we must also remember that,even when our vibrations are raised, it is not normal to feel happy all the time,whatever the books tell you.If this were so, we would not value the feeling of happiness.It is normal to feel unhappy or sad sometimes. I was dealing with depression until I started with reiki, I took a level one attunement. I also got some Bach flower remedies from my reiki master that helped a lot too! Starting with reiki made me realize that I was depressed because of uncontrolled clairsentience. I was sucking up negativ energy from everything around me, just by thinking of a person that was having a bad day. My doctor told me I was bipolar and wanted to give me medications. I denied. When I met my reiki master shortly after he told me that people on anti-depresive drugs would not benefit that much from reiki. It will lower the vibrations, while reiki will raise the vibrations. Not a good combo. Doing reiki every day has empowered my auric field and balanced my chakras. And I have developed my clearfeeling to a level where I control it. Sounds easy, but reiki is not just about healing, it is a path to develop your self. I'm not saying that you should take a reiki course. I don't know your story of depression. But still.. I now know why I have been depressed so many times during my life and I don't have to go down that road ever again! A reiki session will always help on some level. It might be very subtle, but always relaxing and loving. I can highly recommend Bach flowers when it comes to emotional and mental problems. Took me 5 days to notice the difference. And it is considered healing, not medicine. When the flowers have solved an issue, it is solved for good. I used the flowers for 3 weeks, 6 times a day. |
