Am I doing anything wrong?

I don't know why I'm writing this, perhaps it's a guidance system of some sort.

Anyway, some background - I'm a student at university. Of course, being a student, I've got little money. Last year, I decided to give LOA a go and I ended up exercising frequently and feeling good and spending a lot of time (a lot) trying to manifest help for other people.

For example, a friend of mine had parents who were going through a divorce. I wanted to help her, and ended up meditating on it, really feeling out exactly how this help would arise. I also tried to manifest a new car (BMW) by putting a picture up on my vision board and really focusing on how I'd feel driving that car, going faster than everyone else, and so on.

Furthermore, I started to visualise getting a top degree. The best of the best. People thinking I'm clever.

Then, for a good while, I stopped manifesting, meditating, exercising and actively pursuing positive thoughts and decided to focus on university.

An interesting few bits happened. More people started failing on the course and for me, it got a lot easier for some reason. I started working hard and putting up posters here, there and everywhere, and focusing on that BMW on my vision board. Not a whole lot happened until about March this year, when, all of a sudden...

1. My exams started and I thought that they went better than last year.
2. My parents suddenly bought a brand new BMW with no warning at all. I now drive it more than my own car. What's weird about this is that the picture I had up was black and white, and the car that my parents got was black.
3. My friends' parents got back together.

Why did it take a year to happen? I think it's a combination of a few things, but most of all pictures > imagination. That's why the car came first and everything else followed.

So now, I'm trying to manifest a lot of things but the main struggle I'm coming up against is that I'm not entirely sure what actions I need to take to start making these dreams manifest. I've always had a strong imagination but now I'm going to link it with coloured pictures and constant exercise supplied with a proactive attitude once university begins.

Although... my results are coming out in two weeks, and I want them to exceed my expectations. Additionally, I want a great job once I graduate (always dreamt of going straight into a job, doing well and earning a shedload of money and I have no doubt whatsoever about whether or not I can do this apart from a lack of previous experience).

Anyone have any advice for getting IM or perhaps anything im doing wrong?
