I cant believe it happened...
My life used to be a mess before, I was in debt...I didn't have a girlfriend for 3 years. I didn't know what I wanted to do in life...and I was unemployed.
In 2010 I came across LOA and I decided to give it a shoot. I bought myself a notebook and each day I wrote down what I was thankful for in life. I also wrote down each-day my learning experience and a bunch of affirmations.
At the end of the notebook I wrote down the goals I wanted to reach by the end of 2011.
Those goals were:
- Make 60K A year
- Have an luxury apartment
- have a girlfriend
Mid way through 2011 I forgot about this notebook, but today I found it and looking at it encourage me to make this post.
The goals that I wanted to achieve are happening Im currently running an seasonal business and will make well over 50K just over the summer. I am moving out to a new Tridel 2BR apartment in July and im currently dating a beautiful girl.
I never been so happy in my entire life...I look forward to waking up each morning at 6am! (back in the days i used to go to sleep at 6pm!)
Theres many steps that LOA took me through to get to where I am...I listened to many audio books and read many books on how to be successful and rich and I wrote all the key terms in that notebook each day.
I am truly thankful for discovering this new lifestyle! I have never been happier in my life.

Thanks for the encouragement! Was it a cumulative experience for you, puzzle pieces falling into place over time that gradually led you to where you were going?
In a sense I am where you were 'way back when', so I'm eager for any tips to 'break the ice' I've felt I've been locked in for so long.

And Smashbox - I'm really psyched for you! I'd be interested in hearing a little bit about the process (or processes) that you feel were most important on this journey. Please give us an update!

Congratulations, of course. That's wonderful!
I have been postponing intending what I want for a long time now. Your success is a reminder for me to start intending right away.
Here I begin!

It is the feeling of being locked that has locked you, Wax Frog. You cannot find companionship when you FEEL lonely, you cannot find your way when you FEEL lost, and you cannot find success when you FEEL failure. From that place of feeling lack, you literally repel, vibrationally, the abundance of ALL things.
It is as simple as that. If you haven't changed the feeling, the focus (and the subsequent vibrations being activated within you) is still the same.
Sorry to barge in like that, all uninvited like. I'm so rude.

You were supposed to say it. And I was suppose to see it. Funny how the universe works, aint it.

Like every journey it all started with one step.
I remember being depressed in the past, what helped me get out of the depression? was my notebook. Everyday I wrote down what I was thankful for from simple stuff to complicated.
I also found myself reading a lot of Self help books. One of the books that helped me beat depression is called "Self-Coaching -The Powerful Program to Beat Anxiety and Depression" I read this book everyday and wrote down the key-terms in my notebook.
When I finished reading that book I official was NOT depressed anymore. I beat depression. I also gained a number of other advantages from that book, how to control your feelings etc...I also found myself influencing my friends and helping them get out of depression also.
My next step was to find out what I want to do in life and to make peace with my past. That's why I created a 20 page power point presentation about myself. I wrote down all my experiences from the past (what I learned from them), what I am doing in the present and who I want to be in the future. This helped me make peace with my past and move forward towards a better future. It also helped me realized what makes me happy in life.
At this point my past is gone what matters is the present and the future. I want to become rich, confident and I want to influence people. So I started reading:
"Napoleon Hill - Think and Grow Rich"
"The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People"
"Talk Less, Say More Three Habits to Influence Others and Make Things Happen"
"How to Win Friends & Influence People"
Again I wrote EVERYTHING down in my notebook...all the key terms from all of my readings, this notebook is like the bible to me now. Its full of writing.
I also started watching a number of youtube videos on how to be successful.
I also started listening to Hypnosis audios one of my favorites was:
"Bob Griswold - Super Strength Self Esteem"
"Subliminal Hypnosis - anthony robbins - subliminal 1 - total self-confidence2"
I also created my own "NAPS". I recorded my self saying a number of affirmations such as "I am successful, I am positive, I am confident...." and played it overnight while I slept.
My brain was getting completely re-wired at this point, I was feeling on top of the world. I was feeling like nothing can stop me to achieve my goals.
It was finally time to put everything to a test. I got an interview at Bank of Montreal for marketing credit cards. I got the job and the interview was a peace of cake.
This job required me to run a booth at a shopping mall and do direct face to face marketing (get people to sign up for credit cards). I started talking to around 60 people per day!!! This helped me apply all of the skills that I have educated myself in. I also developed AMAZING people skills, I could get majority of the people to sign up.
Eventually I quit the job and started my own business with a couple of my friends and we are doing amazingly at the moment! I couldn't be happier.
Ahh that's pretty much it, there's more but i want to take a break from writing right now
Whats the most important thing that I learned?
Well there's a number:
1. Take everything as a learning experience! and I mean absolutely everything.
2. Make peace with your past and move forward towards your future.
3. The universe will throw a number of twists at you, not everything will go perfectly. PASS THOSE TESTS, DON'T LET THEM GET YOU DOWN.
4. If you prove the universe you can handle money it will give you more.

Congratulations! Inspiring. I was doing very good mentally and with my consciousness and whatnot, and then somehow I just fell out of it, and was feeling quite low. I've been kinda workin my way up, and now I'm...somewhere in between. I really would like to try to get working on this stuff again, and hopefully this will help in getting me motivated and confident. I like what you said about writing a lot down. I was writing a lot before, and I like it. I need to get going. I'm happy for you, though.

1. How can everything be taken as learning experience?
2. How to make peace with our past and plan our future? Should it be free of the past experiences or based on past experiences?
4. Not only money but there are other things in life as well. How can we prove to the universe that we can handle those things? For example if I want to change a certain habit, then how can I prove this to the universe that I really, really want to get rid of this habit and I need its help in this regard?
Any suggestions will be helpful and others too can give suggestions. I will be very thankful for the answers.

1. You have this choice, learn from every circumstance-good and bad
2. The past has gone, either let it go and move on or cling on, again your choice.
3. Proving you can handle money is done by enjoying everything about money, even paying bills or fines, remembering that nothing is real anyhow so not to get hung up on it. To get rid of any habit means you just change your way of thinking, `if you always do what you have always done, you always get what you have always expected`.
These are my thoughts on it, I think we take things too seriously, we make everything harder than what it needs to be. If at 1st you don`t get what you want or manifest your desires, don`t give up, try a different approach because obviously the original approach didn`t work for you.
