I've heard good things about EFT but I haven't tried it yet. What books would you recommend for a newbie? I'll admit, I'm a bit skeptical. But hey, who knows? I might enjoy it. I'll keep an open mind |

I LOVE EFT, though I haven't really used it in a LOA context yet...I have done tapping to encourage more abundance and wealth though. My housemate teaches EFT so you can try going to her website: www.idealsoulutions.com Or, a friend of hers also teaches EFT and her website is www.beingreal.com Good luck. |

I already know how to do EFT... i read the manual and read a lot of case studies on eftuniverse.com... the more I did it, the better I got at it. My advice for EFT is to just keep going at it and try different approaches and eventually you will get pretty good at it. I tried an EFT practitioner once, when I was going through a particularly difficult time, but felt it didn't really help. His heart was in the right place but I felt like I was just better off doing it on myself since I had had quite a bit of practice (5 months of EFT almost every day) at that point. However, I never really used it with an LOA context in mind so that is what I would like to focus on now. It seems to me that it could help in removing limiting beliefs that may be preventing certain intentions from manifesting, but I would really like to hear success stories/ tips if anyone has them.

for anyone that does not know what EFT is i recommend going to the official website EFTUniverse.com and downloading the manual and reading some case studies... and then just practice till you get the hang of it. I have used it to treat mild depression I have had my whole life, get over an addiction to a person, persevere through especially difficult times when I felt like giving up with school and personal issues, and to deal with anxiety before presentations, dealing with extreme anxiety in general, among many other things (within a one year span). I don't really have "one-minute miracles" as the website describes them, but my life has changed so much since i started doing it on a daily basis, through small changes. There is still a lot I would like to improve about myself and I am still working on it. If anyone has any questions they can ask |

For the past month I've been doing extensive EFT for at least an hour. My question is, is it too much to do it for an hour, should I cut the time down to a few minutes? The first 2 weeks I was extremely tired after EFT, but now I feel like my normal self.

If you are feeling 'extremely tired' after doing EFT it's probably not the best idea to do it for that long. I think the idea is that you feel better and more energy flows, not to feel depleted.

Recently I've started tapping into my grid positive thoughts and affirmations as well, specially after the healing crises (see my other post). Also phrases of what I want to manifest. This past Thursday I had a job offer for my dreamjob...the result of my emotional alignment? I think so!

My goal is to remove most of my negative beliefs and then replace it with the things that I want to manifest. I've done the manifesting part for many years with little results, so my thoughts are that I need to remove the blockage/negative stuff first.

For people who are feeling tired of EFT... that would happen to me to at the beginning when I started EFT. At first the results were amazing. But as I kept doing it, I noticed I would get very tired after sessions. I would keep going at it and just get more tired. My advice if you feel tired is to stop doing it for a few days. I think maybe one just needs time to adapt to all the changes that have occurred? I am not really sure. But now if I start to feel tired I just stop and come back to in a few days

I am busy building my EFT site currently EFT Matters and I have a link to Carol Looks book Attracting Abundance on there. In the book she works with EFT and Law Of Attraction. Might be worth a look. (Would be great if you could use my link if you do decide to purchase |

I find the EFT/NLP techniques I've been taught help me to clarify what it is exactly I am seeking, then I can move negative blocks and go forward towards what I'd like to manifest. Haven't tried to use it for intention/manifestation directly, though. Mainly talking myself through the blocks and going from there.

While doing Eft,I think you give your attention to your negative emotions, right? But isn't concentrating on bad feelings create negative circumstances around you?You say you do it for long periods of time and you are concentrating on your bad emotions while doing Eft(though your intention is to release them)... |

Well the thing is EFT gets rid of the negative emotions, so I would assume you are getting rid of the negative blocks that are stopping you from achieving what you want. I know it seems counterintuitive. I did it on a friend once, who was extremely worried about her whether she would be able to pay her rent on time. She had the same reaction, that focusing on the negative would only make it worse. I convinced her to give it a try, and saw the lines of worry disappear from her face. She herself remarked it was working and the stress seemed to be going away. At the end, (after about 20 minutes) she seemed very much at peace, and said she would deal with it when the time comes and there is no point in worrying about it right now. However, she said her change of perspective had nothing to do with EFT, but rather had to do with talking to her roommate before the EFT session (even though she seemed quite distraught when we started the session, and admitted to be going out of her mind. Also, there was a huge difference in her face before and after the session). She went on to say it is silly to believe something like EFT could work. Go figure :/. At least I was able to help her. |

You're right Sarah786, EFT is great for dissolving the emotional Sting of negative thoughts. I find that it is most effective when I happen to find myself experiencing some kind of negative thought, then I try and do EFT to catch it in the moment. If you're not experiencing the negative thoughts while you start doing EFT, there's not much point in this as you won't be able to dissolve anything. When it comes to harnessing the law of attraction, I use it as a foundation, before carrying out other techniques: Prep. Use EFT (& other methods) to dissolve your self-limiting beliefs 1. Thought (focus on what you want) 2. Emotion (this can be achieved by Visualizing) 3. Belief (assume that it will come) 4. Action (incl. interacting with others) Putting it into action / business It is good to think of other people as "Sacred" (like yourself). We all have the Divine inside us. The Greeks called it The Logos. Thinking of others as Sacred, like yourself, will arm you with an attitude that will better enable you to "Add Value", instead of just trying to sell all the time. These methods have been applied very successfully by many people. One example is the entrepreneur and motivational speaker T. Harv Eker. Did The Secret not quite do it for you? You might prefer this You Can Heal Your Life (DVD) by Louise Hay What the bleep: Down the rabbit hole; Quantum Edition (DVD) feat. Fred Alan Wolf PhD Forgotten Teachers One of the first modern teachers of what we now call the law of attraction, has to be Neville Goddard, who lived in the early Twentieth Century. In fact, his teachings are still considered by many, to be the most powerful, even today. The Power of Intention As for mind power alone, there is actually some evidence suggesting that we can influence things outside of our physical bodies. In the documentary "What the bleep do we know" trained meditators changed the ph level of a container of water by 1.0. This effectively changed the water from Drinkable to Poison. They did this without touching it! Good luck with achieving your goals. For some more info: The Law of Abundance (The Law of Attraction) |

So far I have healed myself from a sprained ankle in a matter of minutes ...my daughter healed swollen very sore knees from dance competition. My wife is now tapping and feeling good results. I started on my eyes yesterday ..I was born with a bad left eye. I remember over hearing the eye doctor tell my mom I would be blind by age 40...I was 4 years old at the time ...talk about limited belief!!! So I started tapping for my eyes yesterday ..my session took ten minutes ...within the hour I started focussing with my left eyes ....today I tapped again for ten minutes and I can read words in three inch block letters. I've never been able to focus my left eye until now .. As far as tapping for abundance tapping will work cause no matter what ailment I tap for my spirit has elevated in vibration. My plan is to focus on one thing at a time. I feel tapping works so much better for me than positive affirmation because tapping works whether I believe it or not ...as far as overdoing it ..I feel less is more.

That's really awesome! I didn't know it could work on physical ailments, but I suppose if it is based on the chinese meridian energy centres, then it makes some sense. And you're right, it works whether you believe in it or not. Quote:

Personally, for me this is the best eft practitioner outhere... seriously, this guy helped many people. I was very sceptic about the whole thing before i found him. Others seemed somehow delusive to me... So, here it goes... Brad Yates! YouTube - ‪Tapping into Manifestation - Mind Movies - EFT with Brad Yates‬‏ He has many different videos and covers all subjects you can imagine.... |

Yeah, this seems to be a common scenario: someone tries EFT for the first time, has good results, and then discounts EFT and credits something else as the cause of their results. I'm not sure if it's because tapping seems so strange and "couldn't possibly make me feel better" or of there is something else going on. Of course, if one is familiar with Chinese medicine and the idea that qi moves talong the meridians to various organs and systems in our bodies, there's nothing strange at all about EFT; it's just a simplified form of acupressure. It's true. I think she felt ridiculous for tapping. She later told me she thought there was something very wrong with me and that I need help. I think EFT was a huge reason in her saying this, but nonetheless, I was able to help. However, to be honest, I was quite hurt by her comments. It has made me weary about bringing up EFT with people in my "real life". About the Chinese medicine, I completely agree. My brother is very into ancient eastern philosophy. He does different styles of kung fu (such as win chun), and meditation. When I mentioned EFT to him (after much hesitation) he was quite open to it. Although he had never heard of EFT before, he had some knowledge of the tapping points. One day I would like to be an EFT practitioner, as a hobby more than a career. I hope one day people are more open to it also to dreamland: Brad Yates is good, but the best way to get results with EFT is to be very specific and to make sure you are using your words and your memories. The first time I tried EFT was while watching a youtube video, but once I got the hang of it, I started doing it myself and had much better results. |

Thanks for advice sarah786, I am aware of that. I started with him and his general approach, and now sometimes I use my own words and do eft alone and sometimes I'm doing it with him. Sometimes I even listen his videos about some subject and do eft with him while using my own words. He alone says that it's much better if we are being specific but his videos can be some kind of guide. I know it helped me, so for me Brad is the man! About your friend... I can totally relate to her because first time I was using eft I felt sooo stupid and crazy, like all the people who were doing eft were mental or sth. At the same time I was schoked because i felt it was working and I couldn't explain that to my self. It just look so silly and strange. Then i explore the whole thing and the crucial point with me was when i read that even some doctors and psychologists use eft in their practice. Succesfull stories of other people also helped. I don't recommend eft to people for who I know would think I am crazy, those are also very rational and pragmatic people, but sometimes I talk about eft with people who are open minded. Right now I am working on convincing my sister to try it. It really does help, but each person just has to overcome the issue of it looking so silly and childish. |
