How do I intention correctly?

First post here. Anyway I'm 17 so pretty young, inexperienced, lots of potential I want to harness. Discovered the LoA (The Secret) when I most needed it. Earlier this year when my life, grades, and everything was down the drain. It's helped me, a lot, and I am truly grateful for the opportunities that it has attracted to me. But right now my problem lies in the subtleties in the intention phase.

My current intention is to get into college, I'm applying to an extremely competitive school, and I really want to get in (sent in application). As it stands I am competent in the rat race, and I've been trying to intention getting in. But there are 3 different ways that I can intention which all have their small differences, but make a big difference in the long run. Should I believe that I am already accepted or should I think about being accepted (for example thinking about the Acceptance letter in the mail) or should I expect/demand from the universe that I be accepted. (and thank it afterwards!). Always give thanks

If I want to incorporate the belief that I am already accepted then it wouldn't make sense to think about being accepted, because why would I think about being accepted if my belief is I already am accepted. It's probably a little confusing to get what I'm trying to say here, but if you get it then you understand the 2 intentions go against each other creating confusion in my mind.

I'm in the same boat. I am applying to a school where they hardly take people in. Around 3000-5000 people apply and only 300 get in. I am thankfully good with my studies (except Calculus...urgh!) and I want to get in. Let me know what your method is.

I think what matters is what makes you feel best. I think if you follow that, you should be set. But I'd love to hear your opinions on this.

I sure do hope you get in, seeing as you are in Canada are you talking about McGill? I'm talking about Cornell. I reccomend that podcast, listen to it twice though so you get the full meaning drilled in

I did actually. And it has really made things simpler for me. Except for me, the analogy of a fast-food joint doesn't work (I hardly ever eat out), so I pretended that there's a genie at work with my intentions (allusion to The Secret). Today, I also wrote down my LifeVision and recorded it. I'm going to change it a bit tomorrow and make it longer, but I think I'm on the right path.

I don't know if things are actually changing too much or not, but I've become much more reassured about my chances of getting into the university of my choice. I even went there on the fall campus tour with a friend and asked a few people around.

Not McGill, its the Schulich School of Business at York University (#1 Business School in Canada).

If I understood Steve Pavlina's technique of creative observation (in podcast #16), we must acknowledge our current reality and then observe it in such a way that we make it fit into our intentions -- that is, we perceive it as leading us exactly where we want to go. This is how you change your reality. The reason we cannot do it instantly is because what we perceive is automatically feeding back into the loop, which is what makes our lives relatively constant. But Mr. Pavlina can explain this a lot better. If you haven't heard podcast #16 yet, I highly recommend it. I have listened to it at least six times in the past three days, just trying to digest it all.

dpv, I can relate to you in that I too will be applying to the most highly regarded business school in Germany in 2008, the Otto Beisheim School of Management. I wish you the best of luck, though I'm sure you won't need it, dude.
