Default How did I manifest this?

I'm fairly new to this way of thinking and am still learning. While I'm having some success with little I-M tests, I haven't really worked at anything big. But this thing came out of the blue and really surprised me. I'd love to hear comments from you veterans as to how you think this came about.

I attended a fundraiser for a local charity Saturday night. It was a good time and for a good cause. We had dinner and dancing and drawings for door prizes (big screen TVs, jewelry, restaurant gift cards, spa packages, cameras, etc). I had a couple of tickets in the drawings but only because they were included in the entrance fee. I don't normally win anything in these sorts of things and certainly don't hold any expectation of winning.

A couple of friends had to leave early and left their tickets with me, saying, "These probably won't win anything but if they do, you can have it."

The prize drawings were held intermittantly throughout the evening. I absentmindedly checked my numbers each time with no thought or intention of winning.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered I held the matching ticket for a beautiful, sparkly, 14k white gold, 3 ct blue topaz and diamond ring valued at over $1500. (The winning ticket was one my friend left - and although I offered the next day, he declined the ring).

So, in addition to not expecting to win since I normally don't, holding no (conscious) desire or intention to win, and the fact that I'm not even a big sparkly jewelry kinda gal anyhow - how did this happen?

Winning the ring didn't relate to anything you had been thinking about?

You were consciously manifesting a good outcome for the charity that benefits from the event, right? Since you won something you don't desire, is it possible that you'd feel good if you donated the ring or the money you sell it for back to the charity that you find to be such a good cause?

If so, don't forget to keep enough to pay for the taxes!

Well I have been focusing a great deal lately on expressing gratitude for my beautiful life. Hmmm...

Very possible - I actually had this thought.

Any more insightful comments?

What I've noticed is that when I'm riding a good vibe waves, I get lots of "free gifts" along with what I am focusing on. I've gotten everything from a free lunch to an unexpected $3000 check in the mail. You said specifically that it was a "good time for a good cause" which makes me believe that you were in that high-vibe place.

Cool...

I definitely had been having a good vibe day and the event was a lot of fun. Yet another reason to keep those high vibrations!

thanks

You have to understand that your entire reality is created by the entire total of your thoughts, and that any single event in your life is likely to have been created by the combination of many thoughts.

For example, you may have been having thoughts of looking beautiful. You may have had thoughts of being lucky. You may have been having thoughts of gratitude about the good things in your life, and such thoughts would attract more good things. You may have had thoughts about someone you would like to give an expensive gift to, but you didn't know what exactly or how you were going to pay for it. Or you may simply have had thoughts that you would like something exciting and fun to happen in your life.

Bingo! I think that's it.

Although I have to admit I was thinking more along the lines of something fun and exciting coming in a tall, dark and handsome package rather than a ring box!
But winning jewelry was fun as well.

I also find it significant that had I been shopping for a ring, I would likely have looked for something less impressive, less expensive. In other words, what I received by just leaving "fun and exciting" up to the universe was "better" than what I would have chosen for myself.

Thanks for your thoughts ALG. Helpful as always...

Congrats Lola... I believe the sum total of our consistent thoughts or our practiced way of thinking create our "vibe". Just as the universe is one big vibration, our personal vibration is what pulls the events into our lives, not any one single thought. The vibration you emit in life which is based on the balance of many, many thoughts... this will dictate the essence of your experience.

If the balance of your thoughts are on what you deem to be the "positive" side of life... then that will be the essence of your experience.
