Curious Dream

Hi All,
I'm up an hour earlier this morning for no particular reason. I just awaoke, and feel refreshed etc...

I had a dream, in the middle of the night. I didn't know I was dreaming, but I thought I heard someone coming in, and I had a fearful feeling. I reached for my pistol, in the night stand, and I took the gun off safety, ready to use, but I was having difficulty pulling myself all the way awake. Some time later, I did wake up, and my hand was in the position of holding the gun, as I thought I had it in my hand, but when I came all the way awake, I found I did not have the gun in my hand, and in fact, only had dreamed that I managed to reach for it, pick it up, and take the safety off.

The dreams I had until I woke up were just fine, and had nothing to do with that little episode of fear, and getting the gun.

I even woke up feeling good and refreshed, but was surprised to find the gun, not in my hand.

Now, I'm curious as to what that little dream was all about.

Any ideas?

hmm ... well as far as dream interpretation goes, i'm a big believer that how you feel when you wake up from the dream is a HUGE part of what that dream means.

since you woke up happy and refreshed, your dream sounds to me like you are confident that you can protect yourself in any situation, even if you are "asleep."

if you'd woken up fearful and panicky, that exact same dream could mean something completely different.
