For those of you who use affirmations of intentions, how specified do you make them? I see people who use really vague affirmations like " i am getting better and better everyday", "i am always successful" or " money comes to me easily and effortlessly" If you affirm that your always successful, does that mean it covers all areas of life including money, relationships, video games and everything else. If that works , thats the only affirmation that you will need. However after people affirm that they are a money magnet, they intent more money from this and that. Now what is the point of even saying the first line anyways? I believe you gotta make your intentions and affirmations really specific to yourself. I just dont get why people would affirm such general statements. |

Intentions are generally stronger when they are as specific as possible. The more focused you are the better. You'll want to hone in on one or two things that you really, really want, then don't let anything distract you away from those things being your primary focus. |

A good rule of thumb is to make them as specific as possible. Sometimes being too specific is just as bad as not being specific enough, because if you set too many absolutes and have no idea how it could ever come about, it will make you feel bad. I suggest starting with a general statement, and add detail until you get that little knot of doubt in your stomach.

Say exactly how much money, not 'more money or 'some more money' make it $5000 $500,000 or whatever. I want more money could get you another dollar, but stating the amount as $10,000 will only result in $10,000 Don't make a huge list of multiple goals, keep it short and conscise. I don't believe vague statments, like I'm getting better and better everyday are much use, better at what?? Be very precise and carry the exactness across all the methods (visual, audio etc) you enact to reach the goal. For years I wanted to make more money and I intended to be shown a way to make more money, over the years I got hundreds of ways to make more money, but never the money. When I changed to specific amounts, they all manifested. It took me years to figure that it was always working, but my intending was incorrect. HTH Jeff |
