I guess that title sounds a bit trollish (lol), but it actually isn't. I just physically witnessed someone get hit full speed by a car. Since I do believe in manifestation but have not been good about practicing it I have a few questions. Did I intend this? What does this say about the things I do intend? How can I use this to change my intentions for things that I want? What does this all mean? Thank you. ( I should mention that this is particularly disturbing because the event occurred only a few feet from me and was quite violent.) Last edited by ImtrouncingU; 11-18-2010 at 01:14 PM. |

If you are deciding to take full responsibility for everything that happens in this world, I think someone getting hit by a speeding car is the least of your worries, right? What about all of the children who are getting raped today? My point is this: there are lots of other people in the world. Not everything that happens was because of your intentions. Some other LoAers may disagree with me on that, but that's the truth that I see. What do you think? |

Something can be in your vibrational offering, and not be intended. Example: general thoughts about random "possibilities". People create their own realities, but most of it is not done deliberately or consciously. It doesn't say anything about it, since you didn't intend it. What it says about your current vibrational offering, however, is that there is a mix of vibrations being activated inside you, some deliberate, some not -- like most individuals. Quote:
If you cannot find positive emotion on a given topic, find a different topic to think about that you can find positive emotion towards. The process of deactivating an unwanted vibration is the same process as activating a wanted vibration. Focus on the presence of what you want, not the lack of it. The glass is half full, not half empty. Imagine you are living that experience right now. Attempt to feel the satisfaction of that reality. Ask yourself, what would that FEEL like? It means if you don't want to attract experiences of people who are attracting experiences of being hit by a car, you need to pay more attention to order than chaos. A general expectation of "anything could happen" can be very positive, but also very negative as your experience so poignantly pointed out to you. Quote:
You can say things to yourself like, "Because of this experience, I will be more aware of my thoughts." "Although this event was outwardly negative, I have now asked for more clarity on why I experienced this, and I am now becoming a more clear vibrational match to this clarity I have asked for." "Every day, I'm becoming a more deliberate creator."

I really started to focus more on LOA last night before I went to bed. Today I witnessed a co-workers house get robbed and ran into someone I hadn't seen for months in one of the strangest ways. I don't know what to add to your question but I had a difficult time understanding the events today. After meditation I came to the conclusion that the universe was reminding me that it can create any circumstance at any moment so long as I have faith.

As you wish. I personally don't see how reading a book on LOA makes you immune to the emotional repercussions of witnessing something like this, like shock etc....but hey, I'm not you so I don't know how you process things! Quote:

Tolle doesn't teach LOA (though I have heard him mention it before). He is a zen teacher who teaches separation from who you are, and your thoughts. So thats why I don't think it should have a long lasting effect on me.
