Default subconscious or LOA?

I started practicing LOA and intention manifestation about a year ago. I've seen some things that I didn't think were possible. But in the last couple of months, I haven't been practicing much. Mainly because at work it DID NOT work. The more I tried to have a positive attitude and exude comraderie, the worse things got there. To the point where they were talking about releasing me. So, I put the mask back on and things at work are going my way again. Things at home are still working out too. As a matter of fact, even better than ever.

It brings doubts to the forefront that it ever was LOA or intention manifestation. I think it was more my subconscious mind making things happen whether I believed them consciously or not. Work. Did I subconsciously believe that what I was doing was being seen as weak and therefore it was? Do I now believe subconsciously that I am exuding strength and therefore, they see strength? I say subconsciously, because I really believed that it was working consciously. Until the moment they called me into the office and warned me that if I stayed on the road I was on, I wouldn't be working there long.

And then there's home. I believed that I manifested a fantastic relationship. And I do have a fantastic relationship. But did I really manifest it or did it happen because I was subconsciously ready for it to happen? Did I exude a different attitude which attracted a different man than I had ever had a relationship with before? And how does that explain that I saw his eyes before I ever met him (while meditating)? Why doesn't meditation click anymore and I can't reach that same place where I was? And that happened before I started having doubts.

These questions lead, in turn, to where does that leave me now? I thought I had found my home. And now I feel kind of lost without a spiritual anchor. I don't believe in the religions that society does. But now, where do I go? I have yet to find a group that believes the subconscious rules our actions, other than a book or two on the subject.

I've stayed away from the forums, trying to figure this one out on my own but it's not working out. Still feel kind of lost spiritually. Thoughts on this welcome....

Hey Shasah
You have a point. Sometimes, what we consciously desire and what we subconsciously desire are in conflict. When both desires are congruent, everything flows automatically. It's also possible that after the initial manifestation, LOA lost it's appeal and it sort of just became routine.

Because you are a changed person. While meditating don't worry about where you should be going. Just be. I know that's a cliche but it's true. Might also want to try Ho'oponopono. It helped me a lot.

Yea, it's a little of both. When I first started this stuff I thought to myself "Yea, it's because I have a different attitude, of course things are going to go differently," but it gets to the point were crazy stuff just lines up for you, and after a while it's pretty undeniable.

Hi Shasah,
It sounds like you are trying to separate the subconscious from LOA? In my opinion they are one in the same. Your subconscious is an energy and is responsible for what you get from life.

This is why the thoughts you think are so vital to what you are attracting. To change what you really think and feel deep down in your subconscious takes work. And sometimes baby steps.

Can you give an example of this? Maybe the new, positive, happy you clashes with your current work environment. Maybe it was the universe's way of saying if you really want to be happy then it's time for a job change?

It's both. Because you were subconsciously ready for it to happen, you allowed it to manifest. You are the creator of your subconscious and of your world.

My opinion is that the conscious mind manifests through the subconscious. The conscious mind is not bound by any rules and it is has the power to make real, free choices. But it has no power to directly affect the physical world so it does that by giving orders to the subconscious mind. The nice trick is learning how to control your subconscious mind.

But if you want a simpler model for this whole manifesting thing, try to see the similarity between the real world and the dream world. The way you manifest something in a dream is pretty much the same way you manifest something in the real world. There's that confidence, feel, belief, balance, focus that makes the dream world change.

It does. You have to let go of the resistance to it. Find that feeling of "I can't meditate like that anymore" and let it go until it "clicks" again.

That happened before you became AWARE of those doubts.

I started doing some research, looking for more information. There are a lot of sites on training the subconscious and I am at the tip of the iceburg. I've found a couple of interesting looking sites.

Thanks for your input friends.

Thinking back, my doubts started coming into play when someone said something about studying such an old book as MLK. The fact that I don't know much about quantum physics gave someone pause and made me question myself and perhaps subconsciously I decided that I'd rather not post about it if I appear to be ignorant. A limiting belief, perhaps. I always have been very protective of my intelligence since that is one of the few things that was never insulted in my childhood. ?? Have to think about it a bit....

Both! It's the same thing. There are more universal, mystical sounding things that go on which science hasn't discovered yet. Other forms of finer vibrations and energy fields. Thought waves for example are only theorized about. Though from personal experiences and looking at how Hitler could command masses of people with just his charisma. There's something beyond just volume and speaking style that can make you feel something enough to change your actions.

Just keep it simple Don't try to figure out what your subconscious thinks and doesn't think. There is something that goes out into the universe and can change matter to make certain things happen so that your intention can come true, but the subconscious does that. The subconscious is capable of doing all kinds of things.

You have to learn to consciously accept something as true, and keep hammering it in deeper and deeper. You actually have to believe it, until it's so deeply ingrained into your psyche that it permanently becomes part of you. Just continue to feel it's reality and all of a sudden it is real.

Had a conversation yesterday that helped me to clarify my thoughts a bit. My belief system is still present but I am at the questioning stage because of some of the things that have happened to me. That doesn't mean I need to throw out the whole system. I just need to evaluate my beliefs and see where I stand. I think I also need to go back and reread the journey that got me here. And even though I thought I had beaten my old approval seeking ways, apparently that is not true and I need to revisit that also.

Exactly. In a nutshell:

"One must be something in order to do something."
--Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Think, believe and act like the person you want to be. You soon will be.
