Funny conversation with a Freemason..

Alright, so you know how Freemasons are seen as this super powerful secret society? And how people think that Masons have all these crazy secrets and knowledge that allows them to attain power?

Well I was having a conversation with a friend who is a Mason and he let me in on all their little secrets...

Which I'll let you guys in on

Basically there are 2 levels of knowledge, the Blue Lodge (which is what 99.9% of all the masons get) and the Red Lodge (which is the 'true knowledge,' the inner secrets for the highest level.) And supposedly the Red Pill/Blue Pill thing in The Matrix was put in as a Masonic symbol for that level of knowledge in Masonry.

...and it turns out...

They study almost the same exact stuff that we study here. :p

Thought you guys would find that funny.

xD ...... My friend told me that Free Masons made a pact with the devil.

Showtime 11-13-2010 12:24 AM

I'm not sure about all that, but from what I understand they mostly just read and write and reflect over thoughts on how to become better people.

The lower eschalons are concerned with developing their character. Masons are all about building stuff, they built many of the buildings and roads that make up our society.

I have no doubt that many of them are interested in becoming better people. I used to live with and love a man who was a Mason, and he was a really good guy. They are all about "The Light" although , being a 'boys club' a lot of them are very much into treating women like good little wives who take care of the home and cook etc. so from a feminist perspective, they are a little outdated.

The upper eschalons are another story alltogether. They are the Lawyers, the doctors and Presidents, rather than the butchers, the bakers and candlestick makers...and Power corrupts absolutely, so who knows what goes on in those circles?

As my ex used to joke, the ritual of Initiation involved riding a Goat;)

He was joking of course. Pact with the devil stuff is all a silly stereotype...just like the idea of a Devil;)

Where do I sign up??? Lol.

That's right, Masons are in fact builders. We all build our reality! Whatever is held in consciousness long enough will take physical form.

Simplest perspective I can understand.

I know this is an old thread but I want to post because there is a little missinformation here. Who said Masons pact with the Devil? Does the Devil even exist?

Source: my friend who is a mason and is tutoring me until I am ready to get accepted.

Yeah, old thread, but what the heck.

Only by people who don't know anything about Freemasonry.

Ditto.

The reason they got so powerful was wink-nod special deals with each other. Mate's rates, nepotism, all that. And they're not particularly powerful any more.

*nod* Quasimysticism, in the case of the Freemasons.

Yeah, and these days they are kinda desperate to build their numbers up given that the majority are older men on the way out. The secret to their 'power' was that they kept it all such a secret, people gave them power by imagining what they got up to...which isn't much.

When I attended a dinner with my ex one time, they treated me like I was the incubator for the next generation, and therefore of supreme importance.

They still managed to assign a special room for all the wives and 'ladies' to congregate and eat cheap cheese, while they attended to the secret men's business in a hall that resembles a mix between Alice in Wonderland Queens court and the house of senate, complete with a sparkly, golden giant styrofoam 'G' hanging from the ceiling, and which then entails dressing up like penguins in full tux, with colorful aprons that indicate the level they are at, which they then pack away into empty leather attache cases, at the end of the night, bow and be on their merry way...it was like witnessing some strange bird ritual!:D

Hehe, ALMOST. :d

The fact that they are so heavy on secrecy shows that their understanding of LOA can't be that profound.

In a world with unlimited resources there is no need for competition. And therefore no need for secrecy.

As I said before, secrecy itself can give a person or group power...without much substance behind it.

But that's bondage. That's not true power. That power depends on the others being gullible followers. So you always have to fear that they might get too smart one day and are catching up. That whole concept of secrecy and control is not a very clever one from a peace of mind point of view. ;)

I never said it was true power, or a clever way.;)

Didn't mean to imply that. That's the hard work and action approach to power. :o
