objection to law of attraction (pls comment)

Vids like this make me a bit sick:

And yeah I can see the point in criticising the law of attraction. But it doesn't mean that I can't use something like it in my own life.

I found "The Secret" didn't really encompass LOA very well. If that's all they are going on, I could see how they might feel that way.

It's been a while since I read it, but reading just it without any other knowledge about it, it felt like they were saying, well just say this and it will happen, wa-la.

Like I won a million dollars, therefore a million dollars should appear the next day.

It didn't really seem to talk about all these weird beliefs we have that stand in the way (again, it's been a while). If I was to go back and re-read the book, I might notice it better this time around if they did address it. But going into it cold turkey, I don't think it emphasized it enough maybe?

There's our beliefs (our mims as someone calls them), our worthiness, I think nature's energy plays a big part in it as well (that's my personal belief), our attachments to it. There's just a whole lot more to it then they seemed to be make it out to be.

I did read the book The Secret was based on. That's pretty hazy too, I found it hard to read.
